The Gongcun Village Committee of Jiamao Town, Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County is the designated support unit of the Hainan Provincial Women's Federation. Since July 2023, the Provincial Women's Federation has sent the third batch of rural revitalization teams to the village, under the guidance and support of the Provincial Women's Federation, Wang Changbiao, the first secretary of the village and the leader of the task force, has led the team and the village committee to pay close attention to the construction of rural spiritual civilization, clarify ideas, highlight key points, closely connect with the actual situation in rural areas, and follow the goal of "forming a strong atmosphere, shaping a good style, and enriching spiritual and cultural life", carry out a series of mass spiritual civilization creation and cultural entertainment activities, improve the spiritual outlook of villagers, and help rural revitalization.
Solidly carry out study, publicity, and cultural and sports activities. The task force and the village committee have always attached importance to theoretical study, made simultaneous arrangements for the spiritual civilization and the material civilization, and grasped the theoretical armament and mass spiritual and cultural activities in a down-to-earth manner. Combined with the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, establish and improve a normalized learning system, and thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era through "three meetings and one lesson" and themed party day activities, so as to "cast the soul with learning, increase wisdom with learning, promote positive trends with learning, and promote work with learning", promote grassroots party building to improve quality and efficiency, and strengthen the foundation; Gather the strength of unity and forge ahead; organize party members, cadres and the masses to participate in the propaganda activities of the 13th National Congress of Chinese Women carried out by the Provincial Women's Federation; organize the viewing of special videos on legal education; and organize the "Civil Code into the Villages" and "Anti-drug Propaganda into 10,000 Homes" activities organized by the Union County Women's Federation. Through a series of down-to-earth and popular theme activities, we will strengthen ideological guidance, sing the main theme, promote positive energy, and lead the party members and cadres of the village and the masses to work together, innovate and work hard, show new achievements and make new contributions. For example, on March 8, 2024, on the occasion of the 114th anniversary of International Women's Day, the task force and the village committee jointly held a fun garden activity to celebrate Women's Day with the theme of "Showing Women's Style and Building a Harmonious Village". The content of the activities includes: "masked gong", "trap items", "knowledge quiz", "trap live duck", "positioning shot" and "lucky draw" and other projects, the women and sisters of the village actively participate and play happily, and the activity scene is full of laughter and joy.
Carefully plan themed volunteering activities. According to the actual situation of the village and the work deployment of the county and town, the theme is carefully determined, and the party members and cadres of the village and the helping units are conscientiously organized to carry out volunteer service activities such as "cleaning of drainage ditches", "cleaning of village roads", "sanitation cleaning of public places" and "door-to-door condolences to the people in need". Through activities, we will practice the purpose of serving the people, solve the difficulties and blockages that the masses are concerned about, close the relationship between cadres and the masses, and establish a good image of party members and cadres. For example, on March 5, 2024, the task force and the village committee organized the "Learning from Lei Feng Day" volunteer service activity, and more than 20 cadres of the village "two committees", village leaders, and members of the task force carried machetes, hoes and sprayers to comprehensively clean up the weeds and roads around the new village committee, and jointly planted 20 jackfruit plants in the open space in front of the village committee office building.
Efforts should be made to create a civilized and clean living environment. The first is to carry out sanitation and cleaning on a regular basis. Organize public welfare staff to clean up public health every week. Organize work teams, village committees and cadres of designated assistance units to carry out themed party day activities, clean public areas and road sanitation in a timely manner, remove weeds and sediment, and eliminate potential safety hazards. The second is to carry out the evaluation of "three clean families". Focusing on improving the living environment and promoting ecological civilization, we have normalized the promotion of "three clearances, two prohibitions and one classification" and the rural governance point system, which has become a major highlight of rural revitalization. For example, we insisted on carrying out the "Sanqing Family" evaluation activity, and selected 10 "excellent households" and 10 "progressive households", and awarded points to these families for redemption of prizes. The third is to carry out the "most beautiful courtyard" competition. In order to further advocate a civilized, healthy, green and environmentally friendly lifestyle, consolidate and improve the results of the "Sanqing Family" competition, and mobilize all farmers in the village to participate in the "Most Beautiful Courtyard" competition. The conditions (contents) for the selection of "The Most Beautiful Courtyard" include 22 specific indicators such as "ecological civilization literacy", "courtyard planning", "family education and family style", and "fulfillment of the 'five governance'". Each of the 5 village groups recommended 3 candidates for the "most beautiful courtyard" and submitted them to the village committee, and the village committee cadres, team members and village group leaders set up an assessment team to enter the village and enter the village to score the candidates for the "most beautiful courtyard" on-site, and finally determined 10 "most beautiful courtyards" after the deliberation of the team and the village "two committees" meeting. On January 25, 2024, the task force and the village committee jointly held a commendation meeting to award medals and prizes to 10 households in the "most beautiful courtyard" in 2023 (Huang Dajie, Huang Chenming, Huang Xuerong, Huang Jinyun, Huang Guoji, Huang Juanlan, Huang Chunluan, Hu Yanting, Huang Yaji, and Huang Kaixian). Through a series of selection activities, we will cultivate typical examples such as the improvement of the living environment, the practice of plastic ban and garbage classification, and the change of customs, so as to help the villagers develop the awareness and habits of civilization and hygiene, and promote the formation of good folk customs.
Carry out in-depth health publicity and education. Promoting and popularizing health knowledge and improving the health literacy of the masses is of great significance to improving the health level of villagers, and it is also the due meaning of rural revitalization and strengthening villages and enriching the people. The team took advantage of the favorable opportunity to visit villages and households to publicize the knowledge of "disease prevention", "healthy life", "safe production", "smoking and alcohol restriction" to rural households, advocate a green, environmentally friendly and low-carbon lifestyle, and guide villagers to establish a new concept of ecological civilization and develop good living habits. At the end of 2023, with the support and help of the Provincial Women's Federation, Gongcun has built a "Health Education and Publicity Corridor", which includes common sense such as "plastic ban", "garbage classification", "patriotic health campaign" and "comprehensive environmental management", as well as slogans such as "promoting a new style of civilization" and "advocating a civilized and healthy life".
