The 16th Chongqing International Battery Technology Exchange Conference/Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as "CIBF2024") was grandly opened at the Chongqing International Expo Center, with more than 2,200 battery companies gathering at the event. At the exhibition site, Japan's JET awarded TÜV SÜD the accreditation laboratory qualification. The acquisition of the authorized laboratory qualification fully proves that TÜV SÜD's professional level of energy storage battery testing has been highly recognized by domestic and foreign counterparts, which is not only the embodiment of TÜV SÜD's comprehensive strength, but also a strong proof of its determination and courage to become one of the world's first-class laboratories.

TÜV SÜD has reached a strategic partnership with Guoke Energy. The cooperation between the two parties will fully empower the whole life cycle quality management of CAS Energy's battery cell products, and jointly promote the standardization and efficiency improvement of CAS Energy's operation process through the implementation of rigorous management system certification, so as to enhance the international competitiveness of its products. The establishment of this strategic cooperative relationship not only highlights CAS Energy's persistent pursuit of product quality and technological innovation, but also marks a major leap forward in the construction of its quality management system in the battery cell industry. TÜV SÜD signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Huizhou Leyitong. TÜV SÜD and Leyitong have carried out cooperation in many aspects of energy storage batteries, energy storage systems, adapters, chargers and their parts, and its series of battery products covering marine storage, household storage and forklifts have cooperated with TÜV SÜD in certification and testing projects, and the two sides will continue to carry out more and broader exchanges and cooperation in the future. A number of certification ceremonies have helped energy storage companies win in the new pattern

TÜV SÜD awarded the full range of European energy storage certification certificates for BMS BOX 3S~15S products. This certification strictly follows the safety regulations IEC 62619:2022, IEC/EN 62477-1:2012, VVDE 2510-50 and EMC and chemistry related standards, which fully demonstrates the excellent safety and reliability of Xinnengan products and lays a solid foundation for its expansion in the European market.

TÜV SÜD awarded Huizhou Leyitong Battery System RBmax5.1 series IEC 62619 safety certificate. IEC 62619 is the current international technical standard for the safety of energy storage batteries, which is widely used in the energy industry. The acquisition of this certificate fully proves that the battery system has passed TÜV SÜD's rigorous certification tests and has met international standards in terms of safety, reliability and performance. At the same time, its battery management system (BMS) has passed the IEC 60730 functional safety assessment, confirming that it meets the requirements of international standards.

TÜV SÜD awarded Hunan Win Ke High Voltage Residential Wall Mounted Battery System WIN-Wall-TEU VDE 2510-50 Safety Certificate. The acquisition of this certificate fully proves that the high-voltage battery system has passed TÜV SÜD's rigorous certification tests, meets the corresponding safety standards and specifications, and has reached the international level in terms of electrical safety, performance and functional safety. Obtaining the VDE 2510-50 safety certificate will enable it to enter the European market and increase its competitiveness in the global market.

TÜV SÜD awarded the EnerArk2.0 IEC62619 safety certificate for the lithium-ion battery system of Weilan New Energy. The acquisition of this certificate fully proves that the lithium-ion battery system meets the relevant international standards and market requirements of the product, which will further improve the confidence and recognition of customers in Weilan new energy products and help it expand a broader global market. Mr. Zhang Di, Director of the Product Development Center of Weilan New Energy, attended the certification ceremony.

TÜV SÜD awarded Xingchu Century Polyanion Sodium-Ion Battery NFPP72174205-EA150 TÜV MARK certificate, which has passed the PPP 51096A standard and UL1973 standard for sodium-ion battery energy storage applications, as well as PPP 51097A for power applications. The acquisition of this series of certificates, combined with the fact that the layer oxygen sodium-ion battery EA70 has passed the relevant international standard certification, fully proves that the full range of sodium-ion batteries of Xingchu Century meets the requirements of international standards for energy storage and power applications, and further broadens the application field for the emerging industry of sodium-ion batteries under the premise of meeting customer safety requirements, and accelerates the internationalization of sodium-ion batteries.

TÜV SÜD awarded Jiangsu Haisida sodium ion cylindrical battery cell NaCR46145 PPP 51096A safety certificate. The acquisition of this certificate further demonstrates the commitment and strength of Jiangsu Haisida to the performance and safety of the battery, and proves that the performance and safety of the battery meet the requirements of international standards, which can not only promote the technological progress and standardized development of the industry, but also further enhance the recognition and trust of customers and the market, and lay a solid foundation for the future development of the enterprise. TÜV SÜD has awarded Blue Lithium Technology the TÜV MARK IEC62619 safety certificate for its lithium-ion battery system LF-WHS, LF-HPS and LF-PS series products. Mr. Liu Bijun, General Manager of Blue Lithium Technology, attended the award ceremony and said that the acquisition of the IEC62619 safety certificate is a strong proof of the technical strength and product quality of Blue Lithium Technology in the field of lithium-ion batteries, and it is also a solid cornerstone for its steady progress in the global market.

TÜV SÜD awarded Daqin New Energy Technology Energy Storage Battery System T21, T17, T14 and T7 to meet ISO14067 carbon footprint certificates. The acquisition of this certificate fully reflects Daqin New Energy Technology's commitment to environmental protection and low-carbon development in the field of new energy, and also marks that its products have reached the international advanced level in terms of low carbon emissions, which is an affirmation of its long-term commitment to new energy technology research and development and low-carbon production. Ms. Xi Wenjing of Daqin New Energy Technology attended the ceremony.

The "White Paper on the Overview of EU Battery Regulation" has been released

The EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 came into force on August 17, 2023. As a legal document that regulates the whole life cycle of batteries, the regulation covers all stages of battery production, use, reuse and recycling, aiming to promote the circular economy of the EU and achieve the EU's carbon neutrality goal. From 18 August 2024, conformity assessments will be mandatory, and batteries without CE marking will be banned from the EU market. To this end, TÜV SÜD has released a white paper that focuses on key contents such as restricted substances, carbon footprint, recyclables and used battery management, performance and durability requirements, safety requirements, battery labeling requirements, battery management system monitoring of battery health, due diligence of battery economic operators, and battery passports, etc., to help companies understand the overall framework requirements and timeline of battery regulations, and sort out the preparations that need to be made.
