In 2023, the Tarim Oilfield will take a multi-pronged approach, through the holding of science and technology informatization retreats and discussions, the top-level design of the Science and Technology Commission, and the optimization and improvement of scientific and technological innovation-related systems. Up to now, Tarim Oilfield has formed a preliminary plan of 229 intellectual property rights and 26 standards in terms of key core technologies such as basic theory, process research and development, and equipment manufacturing, focusing on the exploration and development problems of ultra-deep, ultra-high temperature, ultra-high pressure and high sulfur content, gathering a number of intellectual property rights for the core technology, which can enable the oilfield to stand at the high-end of the deep innovation chain and reserve the competitive resources for building a world-class large oil and gas field.

Layout of key core technology intellectual property rights
Establish a working model for the cultivation of high-value patents for core technologies and the planning and layout. Combined with the "14th Five-Year Plan" for scientific and technological development, Tarim Oilfield has compiled and released the "Compilation of Key Core Technology Trees of Tarim Oilfield Company V1.0", and continued to carry out high-value patent cultivation and planning in view of the current situation that there is still a lack of leading patents in core key, advantageous characteristics and basic common technologies and no systematic patent group. In 2022~2023, Tarim Oilfield has successively completed the intellectual property mining layout and group construction in the four major technical fields of geomechanics, well integrity, geophysical prospecting technology and enhanced oil recovery, built 33 patent protection groups, and planned to cultivate 20 patent groups. Vertically, different technical levels are protected in accordance with the multi-dimensional protection of patents, software copyrights and technical secrets, and horizontally, the same level forms a layout of intellectual property classification and classification, and constructs a diversified and three-dimensional protection system, which plays an exemplary and leading role in the intellectual property layout of other key core technologies. At the same time, the Tarim Oilfield has carried out research on geomechanical technology research and development and talent evaluation patent navigation, which has contributed to the high-level development of basic research in the Tarim Basin.
Through the core value of intellectual property rights and the integration of scientific and technological innovation systems, the quality and level of intellectual property protection work of Tarim Oilfield Company have been continuously improved. In 2023, there will be 310 patent applications, 3 PCT international applications, 90% of invention patents, 30% of core (Class A) patents, 57 authorized invention patents, and 3 provincial and ministerial patent gold awards and 5 excellence awards.
