What is even more surprising is that as soon as Blinken's visit to China ended, Lai Qingde could not sit still, and less than 24 hours after the Taiwan representative arrived in Beijing, he openly shouted and called for peaceful exchanges between the two sides of the strait.

The last time there was such a big battle was in 2016, when the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) came to power for the first time, but in any case, peace is the common aspiration of the people on both sides of the strait, and we still have to receive it normally.
Fu Laiqing, a representative of the visiting delegation, who shouldered a heavy responsibility and was interviewed by Taiwan media at the airport before departure, said that the visit to the mainland had only one purpose, that is, "peace and ice-breaking."
Both sides of the strait belong to the same China, we have the same blood flowing through us, and we use the same script and language, and Fu Laiqing believes that the exchanges and contacts that have been interrupted in the past eight years should be re-established.
The Taiwan side hopes to dump fishery products on the mainland and promote economic growth on both sides, and these initiatives have won the strong support of the Taiwan people, and many people have spontaneously gone to the airport to express their support.
According to public information, in 2015, the number of tourists from the mainland to Taiwan was as high as 4.184 million, which was the peak, and in the following years, due to various reasons such as the epidemic and the economy, cross-strait exchanges gradually decreased.
As of 2023, there will only be 195,000 mainland tourists coming to Taiwan, and in eight years, Chinese tourists have plummeted by 93.4%, causing a large number of Taiwan's tourism and peripheral industries to close down, and many tour guides have lost their jobs.

The 11-day visit is undoubtedly a golden period for peaceful exchanges and common development for Taiwan, and he hopes to see Taiwan's young people abandon their ideology and fully understand where the roots of national culture are.
As a sworn enemy of the Kuomintang, Lai Qingde can be said to have a thief's heart but not a thief's courage, and in the past few years, he has been pandering to the United States, believing that in this way he can be blessed by Western countries.
However, in less than a year, Blinken and Yellen visited China twice, which is an unusual signal, in the eyes of the outside world, the gap between China and the United States has not been completely eliminated, and although there has been some progress in the negotiations, the international situation is still tense.
First of all, analyzing Yellen's visit to China, the United States believes that China's "overcapacity" in the field of new energy vehicles in recent years has undermined the original market rules of international trade, which has caused great controversy in the world.

Not long ago, the incident of Chinese fishermen capsizing caused an uproar in the international community, and we cannot be convinced by the explanations given by the Taiwan authorities, and for a time, cross-strait relations fell to a freezing point.
Perhaps it is because the West feels that this atmosphere is becoming more and more tense, and the United States does not want to wade into this muddy water, so they have taken the initiative to express their position, first acknowledging the importance of the one-China principle, and then taking it out, saying that they do not want to see confrontation between China and the United States.
Taking 10,000 steps back, the thing that the United States is most worried about is that the situation in the Taiwan Strait will affect its own political stability, and it will not be able to catch fire in its backyard.
As a result, during Blinken's visit to China in April, he put forward several demands, first, that there should be no confrontation between China and the United States, and second, that it is necessary to establish a correct understanding and strengthen dialogue in bilateral relations.
The third point is very important, we must not let differences dominate Sino-US relations, in the international arena, differences are always inevitable, the key depends on how to resolve them, as for how to resolve the Taiwan Strait issue, that is China's internal affairs, and it is not the turn of outsiders to dictate them.
In fact, the core idea of Yellen and Blinken is to interfere with China's normal trade exchanges, and China's strong rise is a huge disaster in the eyes of Westerners.
Therefore, after Blinken's visit to China, Lai Qingde seemed a little panicked, and they openly shouted to the TV media that they wanted to reopen dialogue with the mainland, after all, Lai Qingde will officially take office on May 20.
We have a policy of benefiting Taiwan, and we have to spend a lot of money every year, but we have no sincerity; the key to the conditions set by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council depends on whether the DPP authorities are willing to give up their separatist stance of "Taiwan independence" and recognize the "consensus of '92," which embodies the one-China principle.
