On the evening of April 27, the second "Spring of Chinese Music" of the National Centre for the Performing Arts ushered in the closing special concert of the last "Guqin Night".

In the 28 days, 13 famous conductors joined hands with 15 orchestras from all over the world and more than 60 Chinese music and cross-border performers to appear on the stage through 19 well-planned high-level national concerts at the National Centre for the Performing Arts and Beijing Art Center, depicting the prosperity of Chinese music in the new era and the self-confidence of Chinese musicians.

Following the grand opening of the second "Spring of Chinese Music" by the Central Chinese Orchestra and the five major national music conductors on March 31, on April 27, the Central Chinese Orchestra took the stage again to draw a successful end to the "Spring of Chinese Music" with a leisurely and ancient and vibrant musical picture under the name of "Guqin Night".

The concert was conducted by conductor Chen Xieyang and hosted by musicologist Tian Qing, representing 18 top guqin players from different generations and styles of guqin art for the first time.

The music "Wine Mania" is said to be composed by Ruan Ji, one of the seven sages of the bamboo forest in the Wei and Jin dynasties, and the score was seen in the "Magical Secret Score" in the first year of Hongxi in the Ming Dynasty.

In the first half of the concert, Ding Chengcheng, the representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage guqin art, showed the artistic charm of the broad and majestic and elegant with the qin song "Mountains and Flowing Water".

The ensemble "Three Alleys of Plum Blossoms" played the rhyme of Lingshuang with the cooperation of guqin player Li Fengyun and flute player Wang Jianxin. Guqin players Lin Chen and Huang Mei played the world-famous songs "Drunken Fishing Singing Evening" and "Xiaoxiang Water Cloud" respectively, and the fisherman's song in the smoke and fog and the literati's voice in the Xiaoxiang cloud and mist were told in the undulating piano sound.

Guqin virtuoso Chen Leiji brought the guqin and string trio "Persuading the Gentleman to Have a More Glass of Wine" created by composer Yao Chen based on the ancient song "Yangguan Three Stacks", which is sometimes far and near, sometimes moving and sometimes quiet, showing the appropriate musical color.

In the second half of the concert, guqin virtuoso Wu Na faintly appeared under her fingers with "Questions and Answers on Fishing Woods" to "The Towering of the Mountains, the Oceans of Water, the Ding Ding of the Axe, and the Sound of the Turrets". The ancient song "Guangling San", which is "splendid, spears vertical and horizontal", is generous and majestic at the fingertips of guqin player Li Pengpeng.

More than 10 guqin treasures of the past dynasties were unveiled

Guqin players Yang Zhijian, Lu Ning, Zhao Xiaoxia, Zhao Jiazhen, percussionist Li Congnong and the Central Chinese Orchestra joined hands to present "Qiu Hong", "Heaven and Earth Yongle Chinese Festival: Chongyang", "Beauty" and "Spring Breeze" in the form of "Guqin + Chamber Music" and "Guqin + National Orchestra", which not only show the inheritance and development of guqin art, but also reflect the combination of guqin and modern music, and show the innovative spirit of the times and the diversified development vitality of guqin art.

At the concert, more than 10 guqin treasures of the past dynasties, such as "Jiuxiao Huanpei", "Tianqi", "Ten Thousand Thunders", "Xianlai" and "Huanpei", were unveiled. They walked out of the exhibition counter of historical relics, and under the stroking of the pianist, the music of thousands of years ago was vividly delivered to the ears of today's people, conveying the elegance of the ancients and telling the context of the history of Chinese music.
