Tianshui guqin, the history is long, according to legend, Fuxi's "making the qin, composing music", there is a record of "the phoenix perched in the tong, the knot silk is the string, the ancestor Fuxi, chopping the wood into the qin", which created the history of Chinese music, especially the guqin production. Tianshui has a humid climate, and there are many strange trees in the depths of the Qinling Mountains, which provide high-quality raw materials for the production of guqin. The ingenuity of the guqin making artists and the carved lacquer of Tianshui add to the icing on the cake of the guqin production, which has been passed down from generation to generation for thousands of years, making this ancient folk skill shine.
Mr. Fan Xiaoyang has been fond of traditional Chinese handicraft skills since childhood, and upholds the ancient Chinese piano making skills, and the guqin made by him and his disciple Yao Haifeng has been highly affirmed and praised by Mr. Dai Xiaolian, a famous Chinese guqin artist. He has been selected as "Chinese Contemporary Guqin Chopter" and is a well-known guqin master in the domestic guqin industry.
This time, a total of more than 40 guqins made by Mr. Fan Xiaoyang and his disciple Yao Haifeng were exhibited, with various styles and excellent production, all of which are excellent works. This exhibition is of far-reaching significance to further promote the city's excellent traditional culture, display the city's intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance achievements, promote the deep integration of intangible cultural heritage and tourism, and enhance Tianshui's popularity and reputation.
After the opening ceremony, the guqin masters of Shaanxi and Gansu provinces held a symposium at the Municipal Cultural Center, and agreed that the guqin exhibition is a successful example of the inheritors of guqin production and performance in the two places learning from each other and promoting Qin culture, which will further promote the inheritance and development of guqin making skills, and said that they will strengthen exchanges and cooperation, work hand in hand, and make positive efforts to promote guqin culture.
