On April 25th, CIPG's "Translation School" Esperanto Translation Talent Exchange was successfully held. Organized by the Asia-Pacific Communication Center and the Institute of Translation and Interpretation of CIPG, this event was the first Esperanto talent exchange activity under the translation talent exchange mechanism of CIPG. Yu Tao, Deputy Director General of CIPG, Wang Hanping, Deputy Director of the Asia-Pacific Communication Center, and Zhu Ying, Vice President of the Institute of Translation, attended the event.

With the theme of "Medieval Translation Practice in International Communication", the event was chaired by Chen Ji, Director of the Esperanto Department of the Asia-Pacific Center, Secretary-General of the All-China Esperanto Association, and Translator and Reviser.

Chen Ji shared with the title of "Does Your Translation Have Warmth?".

With the title of "Is Your Translation Warm?", Chen Ji took the specific translation examples of Chinese translation as the starting point, combined with his own rich translation practice, explained the different translations of the same word in different language backgrounds, and highlighted the importance of "artistic conception" in translation. She emphasized the importance of translating Chinese to Chinese, and translators need to pay attention to details to make the translation appear as it should.

Xie Ruifeng shared his thoughts and experiences on "Realizing Accurate Esperanto Translation".

Xie Ruifeng, with the title of "Thoughts and Experiences for Achieving Accurate Esperanto Translation", stressed that in the process of Esperanto translation, it is necessary to avoid the influence of Chinese and English, and to think directly with Esperanto thinking and reduce "word-to-word translation". She also cited the example of the translation of the Esperanto edition of the Courier, the official publication of UNESCO, to avoid misusing Esperanto words that look similar to English words but have nothing to do with them.

Yu Tao pointed out that translation ability is the core competitiveness of CIPG, and it is also the basic requirement for doing a good job in international communication and foreign exchange in the new era. He affirmed the positive role played by the mechanism in promoting the information sharing and business improvement of translation talents within the Bureau, and encouraged the exchange of translation talents in the same language to be extended to the exchange of cross-language translation talents, so as to promote the exchange and integration of talents within the Bureau, actively build a highland of translation talents in the Foreign Languages Bureau, and strive to build a high-level foreign translation talent team of the Foreign Languages Bureau, so as to make greater contributions to telling Chinese stories and spreading Chinese voices.

Wang Hanping pointed out that the translation talent exchange mechanism of the Foreign Languages Bureau provides a platform for learning and exchange for Esperanto translation work. He emphasized that translation is not only a translation between languages, but also a meeting of two cultures. He encouraged translators to read more and read more in their work, to be good at induction, diligent in thinking and innovative.

Zhu Ying said that this event analyzes the translation and processing methods of Chinese characteristics through specific translation practice cases, which has a strong reference significance for translators of various languages. The Institute will continue to enrich the content of the exchange mechanism for translation talents, and promote the collaboration, cooperation and interconnection among translation talents of various languages.

CIPG's translation talent exchange mechanism is an important measure to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's congratulatory letter to CIPG to the 70th anniversary of its founding and the reply letter to foreign experts of CIPG, and is a realistic requirement for CIPG's medium- and long-term development plan and building a world-class international communication organization.
