Poetry and painting are full of spring, and it is a good time to enjoy flowers and visit spring. On April 20, the second Shanhaiguan Cherry Blossom Festival was held in Chaijiagou Village, Shihe Town. The event site was crowded, singing and dancing, citizens and tourists enjoyed cherry blossoms, cherry picking, visiting markets, watching performances, laughter, and liveliness.

At 9 o'clock in the morning of the same day, the event officially began. Actors and art lovers from the Shanhaiguan District Cultural Center won applause from the audience with their soft dancing posture and melodious singing. The dragon dance performance "Shengshi Longteng", the solo "Shangchun Mountain", the suona ensemble "Farmhouse", the single string "Shanhaiguan People" and the song and dance "Spring Breeze Ten Miles" and other cultural and artistic programs were wonderful, pushing the atmosphere of the on-site activities to a climax.

In addition to the wonderful opening ceremony, more than 40 interesting and thoughtful stall owners exhibited special products, traditional culture, and love services, jointly creating a diversified art market, allowing tourists to enjoy cherry blossoms while buying their favorite things.
In the open-air cherry orchard, the cherry blossoms bloom one after another, clusters bloom on the branches, plain as jade, tourists stroll among the flowers in Hanfu, take pictures and check in; in the greenhouse cherry orchard, the color of the big cherries is red and bright, the juice is sweet, tourists eat while picking, feel the sweetness brought by the big cherries in Shanhaiguan; in the characteristic homestay in the village, feel the fresh air, experience the beauty of nature, taste the special food of the farmhouse, talk and laugh, and feel uncomfortable.

According to reports, the cherry blossom festival lasts for two days, April 20 and April 21, and citizens and tourists can take advantage of the weekend to go.
It is understood that Shihe Town is the main production area of Shanhaiguan large cherry, in recent years, it has actively introduced new and characteristic large cherry varieties, while increasing production, focusing on creating high-quality varieties, and transforming from impulse to high quality. In 2023, Shihe Town will be selected as the first batch of national agricultural industry strong towns, and Shihe Town Big Cherry Park will be successfully selected as a leisure agricultural boutique park in Hebei Province. This event will help to further enhance the popularity of the geographical indication of "Shanhaiguan Big Cherry", build the brand of "Shihe Big Cherry", expand the big cherry industry chain, promote rural tourism, and continue to build the cultural IP of Shihe Big Cherry.
