According to Thai media news, on April 18, during a routine patrol and inspection of the Thai-Cambodian border in Yalan County, Sakkaw Province, Thailand, officers found a man with suspicious behavior entering Thailand from Cambodia, carrying a box of tea and milk powder.
Subsequently, the staff requested that it be examined, and it was found that the contents of the said box were drugs. The man was immediately arrested after the tea box contained two bags of K powder, weighing 998 grams and 965 grams, and worth about 1.6 million baht, and two bags of happy water, each weighing 503 grams, and worth about 1 million baht.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the man was 38-year-old Pan, a Chinese national. He confessed that he took a plane from Thailand to Phnom Penh, Cambodia on April 14, and after three days of playing, he went to Poipet on the evening of the 17th to return to Thailand, and claimed that his Chinese girlfriend was waiting for him in Pattaya, Thailand. After arriving in Poipet on the morning of the 18th, the driver entrusted him to take 2 boxes of tea, 2 boxes of milk powder and 1 mobile phone to Thailand, saying that someone would call the mobile phone and drive a white car with license plate number 6432 to pick up things.
The man said that he did not only know that the contents were drugs, but the police did not believe this because the investigation found that the man often traveled back and forth between Thailand, Cambodia and Malaysia. Currently, the man has been taken to the Klong luek Police Station for further legal action.
