Thailand's National Park welcomes 760,000 visitors during Songkran and generates 40 million baht

According to Thai media news, on April 17, the Department of National Park Wildlife Conservation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Thailand revealed that during the 2024 Songkran Festival from April 12 to 16, Thailand's major national parks welcomed a total of 762,502 tourists, generating an income of up to 40,831,305 baht.

Among them, the most visited national park in Thailand is Chaiyaphong Datong National Park, followed by Rai Yasan - Samet Islands National Marine Park, Nopparathara Beach - Phi Phi Islands National Park, Khao Yai National Park and Erawan National Park. In addition, there were 73 accidents in the park during this period, with 99 people injured and 1 person killed. The ranking of the number of tourists is as follows:

1. Thatong National Park, Chaiyaphong Province, which received 57,769 visitors;

2. Rayong Province Raya Hill - Samet Islands National Marine Park, which received 36,473 visitors;

3. Nopparattara Beach – Phi Phi Islands National Park, Krabi Province, with 35,697 visitors;

4. Khao Yai National Park, Nakhon Ratchasima, which received 31,582 tourists;

5. Erawan National Park, Kanchanaburi, with 30,322 visitors.
