Among them, there are 5 985 universities, 3 211 universities, and 7 "double non" universities, which is not a trivial matter, the school is not only a place to teach, but also a place to educate people, and academic fraud is essentially no different from stealing.
With the exposure of the scandal, countless scholars have also been asked to think: Why do similar things always happen in key universities, and what kind of punishment will these experts and scholars be punished for?
The phenomenon of academic anomie occurs frequently, which is extremely harmful to the development of education
I don't know when the falsification of academic qualifications has become a trend in society, and some people can hang up their student status in colleges and universities without going to school, easily get a graduation certificate, and spend a little money to get this thing done.
This kind of behavior is like an undercurrent, constantly corroding the purity and nobility of the university, and even many students have the idea that "studying is useless", which is negative and very dangerous.
All negative influences come from academic anomie, and in the past decade or so, a lot of information has been disseminated through television broadcasts and newspapers, so people are not very aware of these events, but they actually happen every year, not only in China, but also in foreign countries.
Therefore, the fight against academic fraud is a long-term struggle, and it is impossible to eliminate it all at once, let alone completely eliminate it
Many of these schools are well-known in China.
According to the list released by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Central South University, North China Electric Power University, Tongji University, China Medical University, Zhengzhou University, etc.
These universities are coveted good examples in the hearts of many young scholars, and now that such a thing has happened, it will directly collapse the good image of the university, which is not a good thing no matter how you look at it.
In addition, we note that there are some details described in the briefing, among which there is a controversial person named Li Ming, who has published a number of problems, a large number of repetitive pictures, and serious logical problems with the content explanation.
Li Ming's original data is very different from the real situation, and there are bad behaviors such as marking other people's science funds without authorization and using other people's signatures without consent, and the whole paper is in a failing state.
In this way, the paper not only passed the review of the supervisor, but also appeared on the academic website, so that scholars in related fields found the clue and reported it off the shelves to avoid misleading others.
As a high-quality talent in a higher education institution, Li Ming's behavior is simply naked nonsense, and according to mainland law, he will be disqualified from applying for the Natural Science Foundation project, and he can only continue to apply after 2028.
Yang Lijun of North China Electric Power University also had serious violations, because he applied for the key project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China two years ago, but his connections were relatively poor and he had not been able to get the nomination, so he thought of using evil methods to win.
Through a series of means, he obtained the contact information of the supervision and review department, and won over officials to go into the water by writing letters and emails, the purpose of which was to get himself through the application, and it is said that he spent a lot of money, which is clearly a naked solicitation behavior.
Now everything is clear, Yang Lijun not only failed to apply for the project, but also put his future into it, after the review team again and again, decided to cancel his application qualifications, and his deeds were exposed, public criticism.
I don't know how Yang Lijun feels at the moment, without this fig leaf, I am afraid that I will not be able to raise my head in school in the future, let alone apply for fund projects, this is all caused by myself, and it is useless to regret it.
It is a reminder that academic misconduct is very common around the world, and there is no need to be disappointed in the education system, as a whole, our management system and review mechanism are relatively perfect, and even if there are some problems of academic misconduct, we will not deny it completely.
Those who have studied abroad know that the most feared thing for students is academic misconduct, especially in developed countries in the West, but each country and region has different traditional concepts and cultural backgrounds, and the definition of this word is not the same.
For example, in Australia, Canada and other places, the definition of academic misconduct is mainly as follows: plagiarism, the unauthorized use of other people's ideas, language, creativity and achievements, and the presentation of their own original articles, plagiarism is the most common.
Australian scholars generally believe that plagiarism is one of the most intolerable and serious academic misconduct, and then there is cheating, using some improper means to get grades in exams or assignments, such as copying answers, colluding in advance, etc.
The use of unauthorized supporting materials is cheating, but in China, more people use falsification and tampering with data or results to make them inconsistent with the actual situation in order to achieve the purpose of completing academic research.
Tampered data is very harmful, after all, some scholars just check the information from relevant websites, they can't distinguish the authenticity of the content, which will delay academic research, if such cases become more common, then it will drag down the authoritative academic system.
The Canadian region is even more chicken-thief, with previous media reports that academics have gone so far as to resubmit materials that have already been submitted in one course project to another course or project in order to end the project early, without prior permission or full declaration.
To put it bluntly, it is to change the title and then publish it in another field, the content of the two papers is the same, and it does not contribute to the academic community, which violates academic norms and the principle of good faith.
Although Western educational institutions are also actively cracking down on these behaviors, there are too many students, and there must always be some people who do not like to follow the rules, they use academic qualifications as tools, papers as promotion capital, and everything is closer to interests, destroying the positive atmosphere of the academic community.
In recent years, artificial intelligence has developed rapidly, and many students have applied these cutting-edge technologies to their studies and work, but it has also brought some problems, and in 2023, TheTab exposed the use of artificial intelligence to cheat in the assessment of British universities.
So far, more than 100 UK university students have used AI in their assessments and have been judged to be academically misconducted, a phenomenon that has been banned again and again, even at home.
This report is undoubtedly a loud alarm bell, and everyone has a responsibility to abide by academic credit ethics!
