E Ink, a leading global e-paper manufacturer, announced today (16) that it will unite up to 62 upstream and downstream e-paper industry ecosystem partners to showcase the environmentally friendly e-paper technology with low-carbon e-paper as the core, with a larger size, full color, lower energy consumption and no light pollution, in a three-day smart display exhibition on April 24, showing the ubiquitous low-carbon e-paper application in smart cities.

In order to accelerate the development of e-paper technology and the application of diversified products, Yuantai Technology takes the construction of e-paper ecosystem as one of its main business strategies, not only inviting more e-paper ecosystem partners to join the ranks of the e-paper industry, but also deepening the upstream, midstream and downstream partnerships of the supply chain, optimizing the design, production and manufacturing of e-paper module products, and diversifying the supply of components and components.

• Smart Retail Systems: The most important system vendors from around the world for electronic shelf label solutions include: Hanshow, Pricer, SoluM, ZKong, and Vusion The dynamic display function of electronic shelf labels, combined with intelligent retail solutions, can update product prices and preferential promotion information in real time, reduce the manpower of retailers to update price tags, allow store staff to focus on improving customer service quality, and optimize store operation efficiency. Cymmetrik will exhibit a wireless solar power supply solution for e-paper shelf labels.

• E-paper modules: In order to expand the manufacturing supply of e-paper modules, Yuantai actively forms alliances with module partners to provide customers with a full range of color e-paper modules of various sizes through the high-quality manufacturing capabilities of module manufacturing partners, which can be applied to electronic shelf labels, billboards or large-size billboards. The module partners participating in this exhibition include: Dongfang Kemai, Qixin Optoelectronics, Qingyue Optoelectronics, Jiangxi Xingtai, Lianji Electronics, and Mofang Optoelectronics, which will respectively exhibit their color e-paper module series products of various sizes.

• IC Design: IC design partners such as Tianyu Technology, Wonderview Optoelectronics, Solomon Technologies, Jinghong Semiconductor, Realtek Semiconductor, Yiming Optoelectronics, Qundeng Technology, Dafa Technology, Elan Electronics, United Crystalline Electronics, Novatek and other IC design partners will showcase their e-paper IC solutions for e-paper billboards, shelf labels, logistics labels, e-book readers, or fingerprint recognition, driving efficient energy management with IC designs that consume less power. Among them, five IC partners, including Tianyu Technology, Qijing Optoelectronics, Solomon Systech Technology, Jinghong Semiconductor and United Jujing, have also launched low-energy IC solutions for E Ink Spectra 3100TM 4-color e-paper labels, which will help improve the cost competitiveness of e-paper labels.

• Turnkey Solutions: In the face of the diversified applications and development of different sizes and specifications of e-paper, more and more ecosystem partners are joining the development of e-paper technology systems to provide solutions that are more energy-saving and low-carbon, with better color and visual performance, and faster page changes. In this exhibition, a total of 33 partners participated in the system development cooperation of Yuantai Technology, showcasing the system development results in retail, IoT, advertising billboards, readers and notebook applications.

Among them, Yuantai Technology has partnered with Yingyan Intelligence, Inventec and Microsoft to build a cloud service platform for electronic paper images, which uses algorithms to enhance image processing and image color performance, which can reduce endpoint energy consumption and improve operational efficiency.

In terms of the pen writing speed of e-paper, the Yuantai system development team also optimized the design and optimization of the software prediction algorithm to improve the writing speed, reducing the delay by only 15ms, making the handwriting experience smoother.

In order to develop towards net-zero carbon emissions, Yuantai has also developed solar cell-powered system applications in ultra-low-power e-paper technology, introducing Ambient indoor solar cells, Formosa Plastics solar dyeing sensitive cells, and Taiwan perovskite third-generation solar cells for retail and Internet of Things (IoT) applications, respectively.

During the three-day exhibition period of the Smart Display Show 2024, Yuantai Technology and e-paper ecosystem partners will jointly hold 17 on-site presentations, and will also arrange a number of guided tours every day to introduce the latest smart and low-carbon color e-paper technology and applications to visitors.
