1. Customer application requirements

Distributed energy storage technology is increasingly widely used in the industrial and commercial fields, and plays an important role in smoothing the output of renewable energy, shaving peak valley filling, balancing the load of the power grid, improving energy efficiency, and reducing energy consumption. An energy technology company in Shenzhen needs to build a photovoltaic distribution and storage project in a certain place, that is, a 100KW/200KWh supporting energy storage system. As the core of the whole system, the EMS system undertakes important functions such as equipment monitoring, energy management, and fault alarm, and needs to realize the effect of cloud-edge integration, that is, to ensure that the data of the edge end is reported to the cloud platform in real time without loss, and the instructions of the cloud platform can be transmitted to the edge in real time and safely.

Project Requirements:

• Responding to demand: Improving the power grid's peak regulation and dispatching capabilities, responding to electricity demand, and improving electricity friendliness.

• Upper-layer application of power plants: According to the income and operation of the power station, real-time adjustment of power station strategies such as peak shaving and valley filling, demand control, and backflow prevention can be adjusted to maximize the power station revenue.

• System management requirements: Intelligent management of industrial and commercial energy storage systems, such as power monitoring, fault warning, remote control, etc., so that enterprises can understand the operation status of energy storage systems in real time, and carry out effective management and maintenance.

• Off-grid power supply: The energy storage system can support the off-grid operation of the system when the large power grid fails, improve the utilization rate of new energy, and ensure the uninterrupted power supply of important loads.

EMS Controller Requirements:

• EMS system needs to dock a variety of equipment: PCS, BMS, air conditioner, electricity meter, intelligent circuit breaker, fire host, various sensors, indicator lights, etc., requiring industrial computer multi-channel serial port, including CAN Bus, RS485, more than 10 channels DIO, etc.

• In order to realize the two-way flow of data between the energy storage station and the cloud platform, the EMS system needs to have a stable network connection and transmission, and the industrial computer needs to support multiple Gigabit Ethernet ports, and the device supports wireless transmission.

• Energy storage devices are generally deployed in complex environments, in order to ensure that the EMS system can operate stably and continuously for 7*24 hours in complex environments, the industrial computer is required to be suitable for harsh use environments and can work stably for a long time.
