This is not only the first time that BMW has produced a BMW M model in China, but also the second time that BMW has launched a BMW M model with an extended wheelbase (after the BMW M760Li).
In terms of dimensions, the new BMW X1 M35Li remains the same length and width as the regular BMW X1, with a wheelbase of 2802mm, but the height of the car has been reduced by 14mm (1627mm), which may have something to do with its M-adaptive suspension.

Judging from the declaration information, the new BMW X1 M35Li is equipped with an imported 2.0T four-cylinder gasoline engine (B48A20H) with an output of 221kW/300 horsepower. This is in line with the standard axle BMW X1 M35i in Europe and most markets (233 kW/317 hp in the US). Because it is an imported engine, the data should be consistent with the products of the same specification in the overseas market, that is, the peak torque is 400Nm.
