Yue Silong is 37 years old this year, from April 2021, he took the initiative to request to be transferred to the Panxi Police Station of the Huaning County Public Security Bureau to become a community policeman, and in May 2022, he was appointed as the deputy director of the Panxi Police Station in charge of the community policing team.

The trust of the masses is the "soul" of doing community work well
During the citrus trade in August and September every year, there is a large influx of migrants in Panxi Town, resulting in an increase in conflicts and disputes. Yue Silong walked the streets and alleys to visit the people, investigate hidden dangers, resolve contradictions and disputes, and solve problems for the masses. He demanded that he run errands diligently, move his mouth diligently, think diligently, and do more with his hands, exchange his sincerity for true feelings, and solve the "trivial" trivial matters of the masses through practical help, gradually established feelings with the masses, and won the trust of village (community) cadres and the masses.
Not long after Yue Silong arrived at the Panxi Police Station as a community policeman, some people reported that the melons in their fields had been stolen. What the people need, what the police want. Yue Silong thought of a lot of ways to no avail, in the end he had to act as a "mobile camera" in the melon field, in addition to having a task to go to the police during the day, he drove a police car near the melon field to squat, sometimes inadvertently missed the meal time, he should lose weight. When it was his turn to work the night shift, he took his team members and patrolled the ground with flashlights. With a responsible attitude towards the victims, Yue Silong insisted on squatting and patrolling for two weeks until the end of the melon picking season. Although the melon thief was not caught, everyone never lost the melon again.
Because of this incident, many people began to know this community police officer with a "bursting" sense of responsibility. As long as he was seen working in the community, he took the vegetables he grew at home and forced them into the police car he drove. By doing every little thing in the community with sincerity, Yue Silong let the masses really feel the temperature from the Huaning Public Security.
Dig the deepest roots in the most solid way
When he first arrived at the Panxi Police Station, Yue Silong, who had never been in contact with grassroots public security work, was a little panicked in the face of his new post and worried that he would not be able to do it. However, he is a person who refuses to admit defeat, starting from studying the community management work documents of the higher-level public security organs, comparing them with the management list, and "asking for advice" from books and documents and from village (community) cadres when he encounters something he does not understand. At the same time, they worked hard to practice the basic skills of visiting homes, and actively mingled with village (community) cadres and the masses. After that, he slowly figured out the trick of community work: that is, to help the masses solve problems and do good deeds, only in this way can they knock on the doors of the masses and open the hearts of the masses.
One day in March 2022, Yue Silong went to the community to collect basic information, and happened to meet the masses Uncle Ma and Aunt Liu who were arguing over family trivialities. In order to avoid the escalation of the conflict, he immediately persuaded and mediated on the spot. Who knew that both sides were angry at that time, and no one listened to persuasion. Arguing and arguing, Uncle Ma suddenly picked up a wooden stick and hit Aunt Liu, Yue Silong subconsciously raised his right hand to block it before he had time to think, and a sharp pain came from his arm. At this time, the quarreling husband and wife were stunned, especially Uncle Ma, who was stunned. Yue Silong saw that the best time for mediation had come, he shook his hand in pain, and said to Uncle Ma easily: "It's okay, it's okay, as the saying goes, when there is a 'fight' between teeth and tongue, sit down calmly and make it clear what there is between husband and wife." Hearing him say this, Uncle Ma felt deeply guilty. After half an hour of Yue Silong's efforts to persuade peace, both husband and wife regretted their irrational behavior, and the couple reconciled as before and chatted with Yue Silong about family life. Although Yue Silong's arm was red and swollen for several days after that, he felt that it was worth it in exchange for the harmony between Uncle Ma and Aunt Liu.
In carrying out the work of mediating conflicts and disputes, Yue Silong attaches great importance to the work of popularizing the law, and he can always skillfully integrate law, policy, education, and reason. Since the beginning of this year, Yue Silong has organized more than 200 mediation disputes, with a resolution rate of 98%, and has become a well-known mediation expert in the jurisdiction.
The closer you are to the masses, the closer they will be to you
As the deputy director of the Panxi Police Station in charge of community work, Yue Silong is both a commander and a combatant. He comprehensively lowered the community police force to each village (community), took the initiative to connect, and rolled out anti-fraud propaganda, legal education, road traffic hazard investigation, household visits, etc., to activate the "nerve endings" of social security management. He said: "We must go into the farm more often, do more farm work, let ourselves be a little more earthy, a little more natural, a little more easy-going, and truly integrate with the people." ”
In 2023, Yue Silong led the community policing team to collect and maintain a total of 94,380 pieces of information and data, provide 11 clues for case investigation and handling, and help deal with 76 anti-fraud early warnings and dissuade 76 people. He mediated 17 disputes on the spot, served 42 people, distributed more than 4,000 copies of various legal popularization publicity materials, and successfully settled down for the brothers who had no hukou for 30 years, and his work won the trust and support of village (community) cadres and the masses.
