Although Lithuania is a small country, it has a strong sense of existence, and often rushes to the front line of anti-China and shows its presence in the international community.

On April 11, 2024, the Baltic News Agency (BNS) published a news that the Lithuanian parliament passed an amendment in large proportions to allow the defense industry sector to import drone parts from the mainland.
The amendment also stipulates that imported parts can be used in various fields such as national defense and critical information. It's just that Karolis Žemaitis, Deputy Minister of Economy of Lithuania, is still "hard": Lithuania only imports hardware, not software!
But the members of the Lithuanian parliament, pierced through all the pretense of the deputy minister. Conservative parliamentarians said in an interview that this was an unpleasant amendment, but Lithuania could not make parts for drones and could only import them from China.
The Lithuanian parliament passed this amendment because Lithuania had earlier passed a decree banning the import of related equipment from the mainland.
Since 2022, Lithuania has implemented new rules: the public sector and the defense sector can no longer import IT and communication equipment from "untrusted countries", and even drones are on the blacklist.
The so-called "untrusted states" include both Russia and Belarus, as well as the mainland.
Interestingly, Lithuania has a population of only 2.8 million, a small land area and a small drone industry. Whether or not to import drones into the mainland is insignificant to the mainland.

In 2021, European and American countries attacked the mainland by taking advantage of the "Xinjiang cotton" incident, and Lithuania followed suit, claiming that the mainland had committed "genocide" in Xinjiang. At the same time, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, on behalf of the authorities, also launched a mechanism for cooperation with the mainland.
After that, Lithuania and the mainland "turned their faces" more and more thoroughly. From July to November 2021, Lithuania and Taiwan set up offices in each other's offices, and Lithuania openly regarded Taiwan as an independent region! Its spokesman was even more arrogant: Lithuania is not afraid of Chinese sanctions!
Lithuania's approach was strongly condemned by the mainland, which officially downgraded diplomatic relations between the two countries, and the people spontaneously boycotted Lithuanian products. For example, a batch of rum in Lithuania was rejected by the mainland, and Lithuania had no choice but to entrust Taiwan to receive this batch of rum.
Interestingly, Lithuania's attitude towards the mainland is capricious, sometimes confrontational, sometimes soft. In January 2022, the Lithuanian president said in an interview that Lithuania had made a mistake on the Taiwan issue and should not set up offices with Taiwan.
But in August 2022, Lithuania made another mistake on the "Taiwan issue", and after Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, Lithuania's Minister of Transport did something similar. The impact of this kind of visit on Thailand is bad, and the mainland, in addition to condemning it, has also given Lithuania a taste of being "sanctioned."
The mainland has not only suspended diplomatic ties with Lithuania, but also suspended transportation with Lithuania, and the China-Europe freight train will no longer run to Lithuania.
Under the mainland's "sanctions", many Lithuanian enterprises are in difficulty, the price index is rising, the degree of inflation is rising, and even the Lithuanian people have begun to criticize the behavior of the Lithuanian government because of their living problems.
In December 2022, Lithuania, which was once "flamboyant" and "fearless", began to give in to the mainland. The Minister of Economy of Lithuania openly stated that Lithuania's industry and commerce are inseparable from China, and he hopes to resume economic exchanges with China. It can be seen that Lithuania, which is separated from China, is really unsustainable.
Many people think that Lithuania, which has twice relented, will not meddle in the Taiwan issue again in exchange for cooperation with China. But who would have thought that Lithuania would not only "jump back" again, but also intensify its targeting of China.

In July 2023, Lithuania once again mentioned the Taiwan issue at the NATO summit. Although the Lithuanian government adheres to the one-China policy, it criticizes the mainland's Taiwan policy and opposes any military means on the Taiwan Strait issue.
The Taiwan issue is an internal affair of the mainland, and no matter what policies and measures the mainland adopts, Lithuania has no right to intervene in it, nor is it qualified to point fingers. Lithuania's speech at the NATO summit is its usual "fault".
As a matter of fact, Lithuania has repeatedly "come out" on the Taiwan issue, not only for the sake of targeting the mainland, but also for the sake of interests. Taiwan has been exposed to black materials, and the Democratic Progressive Party has exchanged semiconductor technology and funds for Lithuania's international solidarity.
At the same time, Lithuania also asked Taiwan to provide funds and technology to establish a semiconductor industry in Lithuania, and even Lithuanian wheat was purchased by Taiwan at a high price. It can be seen that Lithuania has reaped a lot of benefits on the mainland and Taiwan issue.
Until December 2023, Lithuania still regarded the mainland as a "threatening country" and issued a resolution not to allow its professional military personnel to travel to China. This resolution is in force from January 2024 and is still in operation until now.
Roughly calculated, it is the third time that Lithuania has bowed its head by amending the amendment and purchasing drone parts from the mainland. Such a repeated diplomatic attitude is really not conducive to friendly exchanges between countries.
