Firefighter from Mengzi City Fire and Rescue Brigade: "The map shows that we are only 14 kilometers away from the place where the water is delivered, but the road is relatively narrow and there are many cars. The weather in Mengzi has been relatively hot recently, and I am sweating profusely while driving. But when we can think of solving the problem of drinking water for teachers and students in primary schools, I feel that these difficulties are not a problem for us. ”
Rescuers immediately began to act on the scene, using fire trucks to replenish the school's water reservoir and ensure that the school's normal water needs were met.
Tian Jinjun, Director of General Affairs of Xinzhuang Primary School: "The water supply for our school is from the Feibai Reservoir through a section of nullah to the hilltop pool in Xincun, and then the water supply from the pond to our school. Due to the recent severe drought, the water level of the Phae Bai Reservoir has been decreasing, so there is no way for the hilltop pond to supply water to the school, so we have to call the fire brigade without water. The comrades of the fire brigade knew that we did not have water and quickly coordinated to bring us water. As of today, more than 20 tons of water have been sent to us, plus another 12 tons have been sent today, and the total should be more than 30 tons of water. Here I am especially grateful to the comrades of the fire brigade, thank you. ”
In the process of water delivery, the fire rescue personnel also actively communicated with the teachers and students of the school to understand the school's water situation and needs, and provided some practical water-saving suggestions for the school.
