Vietnamese midfielder Nguyen Hoang Duc travelled to Thailand to inspect several clubs that he allegedly made offers.
Nguyen Hoang Duc's contract with Vietnam Telecom Sports Club expires at the end of the season. The 25-year-old can negotiate with other clubs from July 1.
According to a report from media outlet Dan Tri, several Thai clubs have already made offers for the Vietnam international.
In the past few days, during the break of Vietnam's V-League, Nguyen Hoang Duc travelled to Thailand to visit the base of the club that had been invited to him.
Media outlet Thanh Nien reported that Thailand's two capital clubs, Pathum United and Bangkok United, have become interested in him.
Pathum United boasts top Thai stars such as Songkrasin, Shalachi Yoon and Gishada Kaman, while Singaporean brothers Irfan and Ixan Fandi also play for the club.
Bangkok United is Thailand's top club with a number of Thai internationals in their squad. They had a good season in the AFC Champions League, finishing top of their group and progressing to the round of 16 before losing to Japan's Yokohama Marino.
Nguyen Hoang Duc is believed to have received offers from Japanese league teams, but he himself prefers to join the Thai league and then fight for the opportunity to play at a higher level.
In February, Nguyen Hoang Duc expressed his desire to play in foreign leagues and said he was not afraid of failure.
Nguyen Hoang Duc is considered the current number one midfielder in the Vietnamese team and has twice won the Vietnam Footballer of the Year.
