Why can't academic Chinese medicine cure diseases?

author:Mr. Zhang, a Chinese medicine practitioner

They respect science and are unwilling to accept the specious theories of ancient Chinese medicine, but want to make Chinese medicine scientific. Traditional Chinese medicine has fallen to the point where it is almost extinct today, and it has a close relationship with academic Chinese medicine. Because they represent the image of traditional Chinese medicine and occupy the main positions of traditional Chinese medicine in the country, but they have not learned to use the theory of traditional Chinese medicine to treat diseases, it is their inability to make the people feel that traditional Chinese medicine is unscientific, a liar, and something that can be eliminated.

Why can't academic Chinese medicine cure diseases?

Some people may say that the academic school is based on the modern era and looks forward to the future, and is not willing to follow the ancient times, still less is it willing to treat people in a vague way like the ancient Chinese medicine? Right, it depends on who is closer to the truth! The academic school thinks that with the backing of Western science, it is something closer to the truth, but in fact is this really the case?

Traditional Chinese medicine is rooted in philosophy, some people always think that philosophy is far inferior to science, but in fact it is not the case, just look at the evaluation of philosophy by the sages, "philosophy can be the mother of all natural sciences", "philosophy is a sharper weapon to understand nature", "know yourself, you will also know nature", "all things are one qi, all things are the same reason, one is all the same". Obviously, philosophy is not an empty idea, but has a solid material foundation, which is the unity of matter, on the basis of which we can easily understand the essence of the laws of nature, which is not something observable, because all things are decomposed into the same unnamed thing in the end, it cannot tell us any answers, and the real laws of nature can only be a principle of material organization, or a systematic law.

Traditional Chinese medicine is not scientific on the surface, but in fact, it is closer to the truth, for the simple reason that the philosophers have long explained everything in nature with the unified law of the transformation of matter (qi) order (yin) and disorder (yang). What kind of law is this? A discerning person will know at a glance that it is a standard systematics law, because the transformation of matter from disorder to order is the emergence of the material system, and the transformation from order to disorder is the demise of the material system, and the theory of yin and yang describes the law of the generation, development, growth, decline, and extinction of the material system. If the theory of yin and yang, which reveals the most universal laws of nature, is not called science?

What is ridiculous is that the academic school of Chinese medicine not only fails to recognize the inherent scientificity of Chinese medicine, but instead enshrines Western science as the truth, and uses this to try to transform Chinese medicine, and as a result, the soul of Chinese medicine is lost, and it becomes a thing of "four dissimilarities", so as to teach it to the next generation.

What is the difference between Chinese medicine and Western medicine? Many people don't know. In fact, there are only two differences between them, one is the understanding of the relationship between man and nature, and the other is the understanding of the relationship between the whole and the part. Western medicine relies on precision instruments to understand the human body, it cannot observe the relationship between man and nature, and the relationship between the whole and the part, and finally only observes a certain correspondence between disease and local cell lesions, so it takes for granted that the cause of the disease is attributed to local cell lesions. And what about traditional Chinese medicine? It is precisely on the basis of a correct understanding of the relationship between these two points.

According to the unity of all things in the principle of motion, through the analogy between the human body system and the earth system, the Chinese ancestors not only recognized the relationship between man and nature, and concluded that the external cause of the disease is the intensification of the contradiction between man and nature, but also recognized the relationship between the whole and the part, and concluded that the internal cause of the disease is the loss of control of the overall management caused by imbalance.

If you understand the etiology of TCM, you will know that TCM is essentially a discipline of restoring overall management, because according to this theory, as long as the overall management is restored, the diseased cells will change their evil and return to the right under the control of the overall force.

The current academic school of Chinese medicine has always stood on the basis of Western science to understand Chinese medicine, and as a result, the essence of Chinese medicine has been lost. For example, the understanding of the theory of yin and yang, based on the atomic theory of Western science, has become two fundamentally different things, and the relationship between them cannot be understood. Obviously, Chinese medicine and Western medicine are two completely different medical systems, and they have different footholds for understanding the human body, and of course they have different conclusions. Western medicine focuses on entities, while Chinese medicine focuses on relationships. For example, according to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, it describes the universal connection of the human body with water as a continuous medium, and the neurovascular system is the dimensional conduit in it, which is responsible for the rapid transportation of matter and energy, the fourteen meridians are one of the semi-permeable networks, which are responsible for the transportation of matter and energy on the one hand, and the diffusion to the surrounding tissues on the other, and the deeper layer is the tissue fluid that continues throughout the body, which is responsible for the universal connection of the human body. These three are an inseparable unity.

In fact, the meridians are nothing more than the circulation channels of the human body's tissue fluids, which are hidden in the interstitial spaces of the tissues, and there are no tubes at all, and the tubes cannot be found, so that the meridian theory is facing a crisis.

The current academic Chinese medicine practitioners, especially the professors and doctors who are engaged in research, have been using Western medicine methods to study Chinese medicine in an attempt to make Chinese medicine scientific. But the problem is that TCM focuses on relationships, not entities, and the relationship is lost by using the method of entity reduction.

For example, in the study of the pharmacology of traditional Chinese medicine, academic Chinese medicine has been trying to find the principle of curing diseases by studying the chemical composition of traditional Chinese medicine, but what they don't know is that the target of traditional Chinese medicine is not the cells in Western medicine, but the meridians in traditional Chinese medicine.
