In traditional folklore, the fifth day after the beginning of spring is the Spring Society, and a land sacrifice is held on that day to pray for a good harvest. This volume of "Drunken Return to the Spring Society" is said to be painted by Zhu Rui of the Southern Song Dynasty.

It depicts a rich and prosperous rural village in the south of the Yangtze River, where the villagers are happy and happy after the feast and drink after the sacrifice is completed on the Spring Society Day. This is in line with the late Tang Dynasty Wang Jia's poem "The Mulberry Shadow is scattered in the spring, and the family is intoxicated." Poetic similarity. This volume is now in the National Palace Museum in Taipei.

In ancient times, the land god and the place where the land god was worshipped were called "shrines", and according to the custom, every time the sowing or harvesting season, the peasants would set up shrines to worship and pray for or reward the land gods. Therefore, there are two routine days to worship the land god in spring and autumn, which are called the Spring Shrine and the Autumn Shrine.

In ancient times, people not only expressed their good wishes for the reduction of natural disasters and a good harvest through community activities, but also used them for entertainment. On the day of the society, the people gathered and competed, carried out various types of performances, and feasted collectively, which was very lively.

This volume depicts the end of the sacrifice, and the horizontal oblique drunkenness after the feast and drink, which is full of strange and easy fun. Along the way, thousands of trees are recovered, and the earth is prosperous, which is the daily poem of the Tang Dynasty Wang Jiashe: the Mulberry Zheying Oblique Spring Society is scattered, and the family is supported by the intoxicating portrayal.

At the end of the article, the author's note: Zhu Rui's pen in March of the second year of Shaoding, which is suspected to be added by later generations, and its style of pen and ink is close to that of the Ming Dynasty.
