The volume of "Jiangxiang Qingxia Tu" was painted by Liu Songnian of the Southern Song Dynasty. The theme of the scroll is the various scenes of life in the riverside countryside in summer, depicting the monks sitting and chatting, the scribes playing the qin and reading, the leisurely ladies, the farmers on the waterwheels, and the fishermen returning from fishing. The tail of the curly depicts a fisherman sitting in a boat playing the flute to set off the tranquil river scene. This volume was painted in the first year of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty and is now in the National Palace Museum in Taipei.

The volume is set against the backdrop of Pingyuan's layout, and the frontispiece shows two Gao Shiyan sitting among the rocks, their expressions relaxed and pleasant, as if they were chatting casually. Then the perspective goes deep into the mountain forest, passing through the pavilion in the mountains and the small bridge across the stream, and the scene of a house comes into view. There are two cranes in the courtyard, a scribe in the antechamber is playing the harp, and guests are smiling and listening to music.

On the left side of the house, a person is sitting in front of the window reading, and a few flowers bloom on the branches outside the window, as if he can smell the fragrance. In the depths of the house, a lady sat leisurely in front of the window, with a small servant beside her. Then, in the water pavilion by the lake, there is a person who is leaning and admiring the lotus flowers on the lake.

Next, instead of the quiet summer days in the house, the painter turned to depicting a scene of busy farming. Two farmers pedal a waterwheel by the river, and the vast farmland in front of them is waiting to be irrigated. A few fishermen on the edge of the field returned from fishing, holding a fishing basket in their hands and carrying a fishing net on their shoulders.

The curly tail ends with a tranquil river view, a line of egrets flying across the river, and a fisherman sitting in a boat on the river playing the flute. Although the depiction of this volume is detailed, the style is more graceful than that of Liu Songnian, and the atmosphere is not the same, or it may be a masterpiece for future generations.

Liu Songnian, a painter of the Southern Song Dynasty, a native of Qiantang (now Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province), lived in Qingbomen, commonly known as the "Secret Gate", because of the "Secret Gate Liu". Chunxi was a student of the painting academy, and his teacher Zhang Dunli was a student of Li Tang, so the style of painting was in the same vein as Li Tang, and the brushwork was handsome, and the ink color was also light. Workers, landscapes, and boundary paintings are the most delicate and subtle paintings in the "Four Families of the Southern Song Dynasty".
