Zhongping Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Xiangzhou County. It is located in the east of the county, 28 kilometers east of the county people's government. It is adjacent to Liuxiang Township of Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County in the east, Baizhang Township in the south, Sicun Town in the west, and Luoxiu Town and Dale Town in the north. It covers an area of 97.2 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over Zhongping Community and 8 villages of Wutong, Liangshan, Xieguan, Dajia, Luosha, Duofu, Gumo and Jiacun. In the 29th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1764), it was the jurisdiction of Beishangli, Anzhongli and Changhuali, and belonged to Xiangzhou. In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), it was under the jurisdiction of Beishang Township, Anzhong Township and Changhua Township, which belonged to the third and fourth districts of Xiang County; In the twenty-second year (1933), it was Zhongping Town and Guashan Township, which belonged to Shizhen District and Lezhuo District, respectively, and in the thirty-seventh year (1948), it was Zhongping Township and Guashan Township, which belonged to Xiang County. In December 1949, it was merged with Baizhang Township, Dazhang Township and Southeast Township as Zhongping District. In February 1951, it was changed to the fourth district of Xiang County. In April 1953, it was changed to the 11th district of Shilong County. In 1956, Zhongping District was reformed. In January 1958, it was changed to a township and separated out of Baizhang Township, changed to a commune in August, and merged with Dale and Baizhang 2 communes in September to form Fengshou Commune. In March 1959, the Truong Binh Commune was re-established. In May 1960, it belonged to Xiangzhou County. In September 1962, it was merged with Baizhang Commune and Zhongping District. In August 1966, it was changed to a commune and separated into Baizhang Commune. In October 1984, it was changed to a township. It was renamed in June 1999.
