But unfortunately, at this time, the Ming Dynasty was already in the midst of wind and rain. Soon after, Li Zicheng led an army into the city of Beijing, and the Chongzhen Emperor hanged himself. However, the combat effectiveness of the two sides was still very different, so after holding out for 26 days, Jinghai County was breached. Liu Neng committed suicide on the day the city was destroyed, and Duo Duo cut off his head and hung it above the city gate.
After Duo Duo led his army south, a local righteous soldier surnamed Wang took advantage of the dark wind of the moon to steal Liu Neng's body and return it to his family. The next day, his family secretly buried him in a suburb of Jinghai County.
