Recently, the 110-ton thrust liquid oxygen kerosene rocket engine "Tianhuo 12" (TH-12) supporting the Tianlong 3 large liquid launch vehicle of Tianbing Technology successfully completed the first batch calibration hot test.

The test product of this test is the product status of the Tianlong-3 rocket Yaoyi, the rated working condition, and the process verification and test run for 50 seconds.

During the test run, the engine started quickly, worked smoothly, and shut down normally.

The test results show that the engine works stably under rated working conditions, and the performance indicators meet the design requirements.

This shows that the product design status and production quality of the first batch of TH-12 engines of Tianlong-3 are qualified and controlled, meet the performance requirements of rocket flight, and have the conditions for delivery of the first flight and subsequent mass production and launch.

As a reusable liquid rocket engine, Tianhuo 12 engine has adopted more than 40 key innovative technologies in China, such as air-conditioning multi-start technology, spontaneous ignition technology, combustion instability suppression technology, super-large thrust chamber stainless steel 3D printing manufacturing technology, and turbine disc thermal component 3D printing technology, which have been fully verified through many tests.

The performance of the Tianlong-3 large liquid launch vehicle is comparable to that of SpaceX's Falcon 9, with a diameter of 3.8 meters, a take-off mass of 590 tons, a LEO low-earth orbit capacity of 17 tons, and an SSO sun-synchronous orbit capacity of 14 tons.

Tianlong-3 is tailored for the construction of mainland satellite Internet infrastructure, and will be the first in China to achieve the launch of more than 30 satellites with one arrow, which will greatly meet the launch needs of mainland satellite Internet with "low cost, high reliability and high frequency".

At present, Tianlong-3 has completed product design and production, is carrying out large-scale ground test verification item by item, and plans to complete the first flight of the rocket in the middle of this year.

Within three years of its first flight, it had a commercial launch capability of more than 30 launches per year.
