Lei Jun introduced that the battery pack is the cornerstone of pure electric vehicles, is the core component, the cost accounts for 40%-50% of the vehicle, and affects the vehicle's endurance, safety, and handling.
The Xiaomi 800V battery pack is equipped with CTB integrated body technology, which has the highest volume efficiency of the battery pack in the world at 77.8%, and the thickness of the battery pack and the bottom plate is only 120mm, which can bring more space to the passenger compartment.
At the same time, Xiaomi's 800V battery pack platform has reached a maximum power of 150kWh, and the CLTC range is 1200+ km, but the cost of such a battery will be very high, which is not conducive to promotion among car owners.
Therefore, Xiaomi's 800V battery pack adopts the industry's mature system, with a maximum battery capacity of 132kWh, achieving a CLTC endurance of 1000+ km that can really run on one battery.
In terms of safety, the Xiaomi 800V battery pack is equipped with dual-surface active cooling, with a maximum cooling area of 7.8 square meters in its class, and the side of the battery cell is filled with aerogel thermal insulation material.
In terms of physical protection, the battery pack has 14 layers of hard-core physical protection, including 2000MPa hot-stamping steel and ultra-high-strength steel beams, advanced high-strength steel frames, and 153mm ultra-wide extruded aluminum door kans.
In addition, Xiaomi has also pioneered the industry's "battery cell inversion technology", which can ensure that the battery cell can quickly release the heat source downward in the event of extreme thermal runaway, ensuring the safety of the passenger compartment to the greatest extent.
