According to previous revelations, Apple will bring a number of blockbuster upgraded new products in 2024, including Vision Pro headsets, new iPads, new Apple Watches, etc., let's take a look at which one you are most looking forward to.
1. AirPods 4
The new AirPods coming in 2024 will have a completely new design, a shorter stem, and look like a combination of the current AirPods and AirPods Pro. Adaptability and sound quality will be improved, and there will be one major change – that is, there will be two models. The AirPods 4 will be available in two versions at different prices, the more expensive models will have active noise cancellation, and the AirPods 4 will also get a newly designed charging case with a speaker for Find My tips and a USB-C charging port.
2. OLED iPad Pro
In 2024, Apple will introduce OLED technology on the iPad Pro, which will be Apple's first large-format OLED display. Compared to mini-LEDs or LEDs, OLEDs offer deeper blacks, better contrast, improved HDR, and better energy efficiency. The new iPad Pro models will be redesigned and available in updated 13-inch and 11-inch sizes. The OLED display is thinner, and the new M3 chip can also be expected.
3. Apple Watch X
Next year we will welcome the Apple Watch Series 10 or "X", which coincides with the tenth anniversary of the Apple Watch, and the 2024 Apple Watch will receive an updated design that may include a slimmed body and a new magnetic strap attachment system. The magnetic strap attachment method will allow Apple to save valuable space inside the Apple Watch for larger batteries or other components, but this may mean that the existing strap is not compatible with the new model. In addition to the new look, the Apple Watch X will also come with blood pressure monitoring and sleep apnea detection.
4. iPhone 16
The standard iPhone 16 model will get some features previously limited to the iPhone 15 Pro model, including an Action Button and a faster 3nm A-series chip. This year the Action Button will likely be capacitive rather than mechanical, so the body may be able to make it slimmer. The new vertical camera lens layout may allow for spatial video capture, a feature that is currently limited to iPhone 15 Pro models.
Apple has also added a new capacitive Capture Button on all four iPhone 16 models, which is located on the right side of the device, below the power button, to sense pressure and support haptic feedback, which is rumored to be used to record video. While the standard iPhone 16 model will have the same design as the iPhone 15 model, the iPhone 16 Pro model will come with a larger display. The iPhone 16 Pro will increase from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will increase from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches. Other iPhone 16 Pro exclusive rumors include a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, Wi-Fi 7, and Qualcomm's faster 5G chip.
5. Vision Pro
It's been half a year since Apple launched the Vision Pro headset, and in early 2024, customers will finally have the opportunity to try it. Unlike other headsets, Apple uses ultra-high-resolution miniature LED displays with hand and eye tracking controls. Vision Pro plans to launch immersive apps, games, and experiences, and users will be able to record spatial videos for playback on their devices.
