South Korean director Park Chan-wook's new work "The Determination to Break Up" was officially announced, and actors Tang Wei, Park Hae-il, Lee Jung-hyun, Ko Gung-woo and Park Yong-woo will star together.
The film tells the story of the criminal police officer Hae-joon (Park Hae-il) who meets the deceased's wife, Seo Lai (Tang Wei), while investigating a death case on the mountain, and feels doubt and concern.

The heroine Xu Lai played by Tang Wei is a "silent woman who is not proficient in Korean and is not good at expressing feelings", and is a character who can bring tension and suspense to the plot, so Tang Wei more often needs to show the subtle inner changes of the character through expressions, eyes and body language, and the Korean media describes this role as "with unimaginable charm".
In terms of other major roles, Lee Jung-hyun will play Hae-joon's wife, Jing An, in the film, a woman with full ability. Gao Gengyu plays Xiu Guan, a criminal policeman's descendant who follows Hai Jun like his brother, but has his own views on the direction of the investigation. Park Yong-woo plays Hu Shin, another man who appears on Seo Lai's journey, and is a well-known securities analyst.
After the main cast of the film "Determination to Break Up" has been determined, it is currently preparing to shoot, and is expected to officially start filming in South Korea in October, with the production company Moho Film and the investment and distribution under the responsibility of CJ Entertainment.
Park Chan-wook "Miss"
Director Park Chan-wook's last work was 2016's Miss, also produced by Moho Film. Starring Kim Min-hee, Kim Tae-ri, Ha Jeong-woo and Cho Chun-woong, the film is a love suspense film based on the novel "City of Thorns" by British writer Sarah Waters, which tells the story of money and love between the noble lady who inherited a huge amount of property, the earl who coveted her property, the maid who was hired by the earl to approach miss, and the guardian of the lady during the Japanese colonial rule in Korea in 1930.
