At this time, Dong Zhongshu proposed a new set of laws to Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty called "Spring and Autumn Dew". The law systematically expounded his political ideals and philosophical views, emphasizing the importance of morality, the sanctity of the monarch's power, and the sense of responsibility of the people.
After this, Dong Zhongshu received a high degree of trust and support from Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty and became an important official of the imperial court. His advice was often adopted as the basis for national decision-making, which greatly contributed to the development of the Western Han Dynasty. At the same time, he also actively promoted the spread of Confucianism throughout the country, so that Confucianism gradually took root in the hearts of the people.
With the changes of the times and the progress of society, people have also begun to question some of Dong Zhongshu's views. For example, concepts such as the "Three Principles and Five Constants" are considered too conservative and even somewhat outdated. Nevertheless, we cannot deny that many of the concepts and theories put forward by Dong Zhongshu have had far-reaching influence in the long history of ancient Chinese society.
