On December 16, with the theme of "Embrace Love", the 2023 "Color for Love" Annual Sharing Conference and the 7th Nippon Paint University Student Rural Teaching Award Ceremony were successfully held in Shanghai. Many "Color for Love" artists, cooperative enterprises, distributors, college students and other charity partners gathered at the event to share their warm experiences from rural to urban, from campus painting to art education in the past year. The germination of the "Color for Love" charity project originated from the original intention of Mr. Wu Qingliang, the founder of Nippon Paint China's parent company, Lishi Group, to give back to his hometown.

Since Nippon Paint launched the "Color for Love" public welfare program, the "Color for Love" public welfare platform has brought together 56 enterprises or organizations such as CapitaLand, Yihai Kerry, Dow and so on, covering more than 200 cities and towns in 32 provincial-level administrative regions in China, completing a total of 426 rural color campus school paintings, donating 403 Nippon Paint happy art classrooms, creating 236 large-scale art wall paintings, and supporting 702 college student teams from 210 colleges and universities across the country to participate in rural teaching, influencing 4. 1.45 million people, constantly refreshing the influence of love, bringing love, color and joy to the world.

The 2023 "Color for Love" Annual Sharing Session with the theme of "Embrace Love".

On the road of supporting rural education, "Color for Love" repairs, repaints and beautifies rural primary schools in remote areas, and at the same time, cooperates with the China Youth Development Foundation to donate art equipment to schools, establish Nippon Paint Happy Art Classrooms, provide professional art training for teachers, and hold children's work competitions to help the development of rural children's art education. This year, Nippon Paint collected a total of 242 children's art works from 22 schools, and selected 22 all-round little painters, 51 growing up little painters, and 23 most creative little painters.

As one of the key projects of "Color for Love", Nippon Paint cooperates with the "Chinese College Students Knowledge and Action Promotion Program" to set up the Nippon Paint "Color for Love" Chinese College Students Rural Teaching Award, and supports 100 college student teams to go deep into the countryside every year. This year, with the theme of "Exploring Rural Cultural Memory", the Nippon Paint "Color for Love" Rural College Student Volunteer Teaching Award supports college students to carry out aesthetic education classes around rural culture, and encourages the "Color Picking Action" rural culture visit activities to inherit more color and cultural memories.

"Color for Love" Chinese College Students Rural Teaching Award Exhibition Area

Among the 100 outstanding teams participating this year, the 24th Graduate Teaching Support Group from Tongji University and the Qingyi Teaching Practice Group from Chongqing University stood out and won the Gold Award of the 7th Nippon Paint "Color for Love" China College Student Rural Teaching Award Project in 2023. The award-winning team members shared: "I am very happy to join the family of the Volunteer Teaching Award, and through teaching courses, I realized that education is not only about imparting knowledge, but also about igniting children's hopes and dreams for the future. In addition to the accumulation of teaching experience, I also realized the importance of the inheritance of traditional rural culture, and I hope that more partners can join the team of the Teaching Award to convey cultural memory with color. ”

In 2016, the ART+ project was launched, extending the "Color for Love" charity to urban areas. Every year, ART+ invites well-known wall painting artists and designers at home and abroad to create large-scale wall paintings in rural primary schools and urban communities with the theme of "Child Care and Animal Protection", deeply integrating art with local culture and strengthening the cultural connection of the community with color. This year, the "Color for Love" ART+ City Wall Painting has completed 14 urban paintings in Shanghai and Chengdu, and it is the first time to enter Changsha, constantly expanding the boundaries of love.
