1. Introduction of faculties

The School of History of Capital Normal University, formerly known as the Department of History of Beijing Normal University (founded in 1954), is the pioneer of the Department of History by famous historians such as Qi Shirong, Ning Ke, Qi Guogan and Xie Chengren. With doctoral degrees in archaeology, Chinese history and world history, and professional degree authorization points in cultural relics and museums, world history, Chinese history and archaeology in the fourth round of discipline evaluation of the Ministry of Education are A-, B+ and B-, ranking third, ninth and eleventh in the country respectively. World history is a national key discipline and a first-level discipline in Beijing, Chinese history is a first-level discipline in Beijing, and archaeology has the qualification of leader of archaeological excavation groups issued by the state. It has carried out in-depth comparative research on Chinese and foreign history, geography, politics, religion, art, archaeology and civilization, and has shown its advantages and characteristics in many research directions such as archaeology of the Broken Dynasty, medieval history, Song history, simple studies, Dunhuang studies, historical philology, modern and modern Chinese political and social and cultural history, ancient medieval history in the world, modern international relations history, global history, etc., and produced a series of high-level achievements. In 2019, history was selected as the first batch of high-precision disciplines in Beijing universities and jointly established with Peking University History.

Admission score calculation method

1. Allocation of weight of preliminary and re-examination results

The total score of the initial test accounts for 70%, and the total score of the retest accounts for 30%;

Total admission score = 70% of the total score of the initial examination × 70% + 30% of the total score of the re-examination×;

3. Admission method

Candidates who pass the overall score of the re-examination will be admitted in order of highest admission score to lowest admission score.

5. Exam preparation guidance

1. Zero-based review stage (before 6 months)

At this stage, according to the postgraduate examination subjects, select appropriate reference textbooks, purposefully go through the textbooks, fully familiarize yourself with the textbooks, appropriately expand the scope of knowledge, and be familiar with the classic textbooks of various subjects of professional courses. This period is very painful, try to avoid drilling into the horns, encounter content that is really not easy to understand, jump over first, and grasp the overall situation. Systematically master the theoretical knowledge of this specialty. Have a systematic understanding of each course, find out the distribution of chapters in each book, the internal logical structure, the location of key chapters, etc., but do not need to remember, and finally basically reach a certain level.

2. Basic Review Stage (June-August)

At this stage, candidates are required to familiarize themselves with the textbook, overcome the difficult points, fully master the knowledge points of each textbook, find out the key content in combination with the real questions to summarize, and have the corresponding professional course knowledge point notes, conduct in-depth review, strengthen the connection between the knowledge points, establish the overall framework structure, distinguish the major and difficult points, and basically master the key and difficult points. At the same time, practice more relevant bibliography after-class exercises and workbooks to improve their ability to quickly solve problems, familiarize themselves with past questions, and clarify the test format, question type setting and difficulty level. It is required to thoroughly understand the content of the reference book, achieve accurate positioning, and conduct carpet review of all kinds of knowledge points involved in every detail, consolidate the foundation, train thinking, and master some basic concepts and basic models.

3. Strengthening and improvement stage (September to November)

At this stage, candidates are required to internalize the accumulation of knowledge into their own things, do real questions by hand, and form an answering mode, and the completed real questions can ask the senior brothers and sisters admitted to the target college to help correct them, paying attention to the missing knowledge points and answering mode; Summarize and memorize all key knowledge points, including key concepts, theories and models, etc., check and fill in the gaps, and return to the teaching materials.
