The type of meeting
The annual meeting mainly solicits three types of academic conferences: academic dialogues, academic seminars, and academic reports. The specific implementation requirements are detailed in Annex 1.
(1) Academic dialogue: Adopt the method of free dialogue and debate among experts to discuss hot topics in the field of planning, the conference attaches importance to the interaction between experts, experts and participants, and the time for participants to ask questions and speak is not less than 1/3 of the duration of the whole meeting. The number of bidding sessions accounted for 50 per cent of the total.
(2) Academic seminar: including two necessary parts: report and discussion. In the report session, experts will give special speeches around the theme of the conference, and in the discussion session, participants will ask questions, share insights, and exchange and discuss with experts. The discussion session should not be less than 1/3 of the duration of the whole meeting. The number of bidding meetings shall not exceed 40% of the total.
(3) Academic report: experts will make academic reports on a specific academic field, introduce research results, and share academic experience. The number of bidding meetings shall not exceed 10% of the total.
Basic requirements for the sponsor
(1) The planning departments of provincial capitals and cities with independent planning status, all kinds of Class A planning units, well-known institutions of higher learning and academic research institutions, relevant national societies and local societies, etc.
(2) The sponsor must have certain academic advantages in the proposed topic selection field and provide corresponding supporting materials.
(3) The sponsor shall organize the declaration in a unified manner, and the number of applications for academic conferences shall not be limited during the preliminary declaration. No more than 2 academic conferences will be held by the same sponsor and determined to be implemented by the society.
(4) There shall be no more than 3 co-organizers of an academic conference.
(5) The sponsor shall be equipped with one academic person in charge and one conference contact. The academic leader is the main technical person in charge of the sponsor, who is responsible for the planning of the conference, writing a summary of academic views and policy suggestions after the meeting, and the conference contact person is responsible for organizing the implementation and communication of the meeting.
(6) Priority will be given to the applications of the unit members of the Association.
Conference Theme
The theme of the conference must be a national academic topic, focusing on industry hotspots, and should focus on the theme of the annual conference "Beautiful China, Co-construction, Co-governance and Sharing", reflecting the current level of academic research or planning and design in the mainland. The topics that need to be focused on are shown in Annex 2.
Partner Privileges
(1) The organizer of the annual meeting will make overall arrangements for various activities of the annual meeting, integrate and compile a unified "conference guide", and publicize and promote the conference at home and abroad.
(2) The logo of the partner unit will be published on the theme wall of the annual meeting.
(3) The introduction materials of the partner units (within 300 words, not repeated) will be published in the "Conference Guide" of the annual meeting.
(4) Provide the necessary conference venues and corresponding supporting facilities for the conference free of charge at the place where the annual meeting is held.
(5) Authorize the conference to use the annual meeting logo for the production of relevant materials of the meeting.

(1) Please log in to the "China Urban Planning Annual Conference Academic Conference Bidding System", fill in the conference information online, download the application form and stamp the official seal of the unit after filling in, and upload it to the bidding system, and the deadline for submission is 24:00 on June 23, 2024.

(2) The society will organize experts to carry out the selection work, and the applicant shall submit the implementation plan of the meeting through the expert review. If the meeting implementation plan cannot be submitted on time or the meeting cannot be organized and implemented, it will be deemed to have given up the bid, and its privileges will be cancelled accordingly and cannot be transferred.
(3) The final interpretation right of the annual meeting activities belongs to the organizer of the annual meeting, the China Urban Planning Society. The units and personal information in the specific implementation plan are confidential materials and are kept by the society.
