In 1957, Zhuang Zedong was selected for the Beijing Table Tennis Team, participated in the national competition in the same year, and was selected into the Chinese Youth Table Tennis Team in 1959, thus beginning his brilliant life.
At the 26th to 28th World Table Tennis Championships, Zhuang Zedong won the men's singles championship three times in a row, and was one of the main players of the Chinese men's table tennis team in the 1960s and 1970s, but he did not stop there. People will always be old, Zhuang Zedong is also, and even so, he is still the director of the National Sports Commission, and Zhuang Zedong's life is inseparable from ping-pong.
But what makes Zhuang Zedong feel most fortunate is that there are only two people and two things in his life. One is a red pink lady, and the other is a mountain flowing water.

The luck of life is nothing more than a long goodbye reunion. At the low point, the appearance of Atsuko Sasaki brought light and warmth to Zhuang Zedong, and it was at that time that the two officially began to fall in love.
In Sasaki Atsuko's body, there is the tenacity of Japanese women, who are infinitely tolerant and relieved of their husbands, no matter what their husbands are, all they have in their hearts is gratitude.
But china at that time was far less than it is now, and people were also hostile to Atsuko, and Zhuang Zedong could love anyone, but Sasaki Atsuko could not. After this, Atsuko Sasaki was allowed to leave the country within a time limit, the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo did not give Sasaki a visa, Beijing did not issue Zhuang Zedong a passport, and Zhuang Zedong was not allowed to go abroad.
But they are not afraid, if this is what you and I want, then go and fight for it, don't say anything like no, for ideals, love and all the reasons you work hard, even if you die in battle is the most perfect result.
With the permission of the leaders, on December 19, 1987, Atsuko Sasaki renounced her Japanese nationality, became a Chinese national, received an identity card, and married Mr. Zhuang on the same day, settling in Beijing.
We thought that Atsuko Sasaki had given up her Japanese citizenship, but I would say that she was giving up not only her nationality, but also her little white-collar life, the parents who gave birth to her, and even an independent personality in a sense.
For the sake of Zhuang Zedong, she became an ordinary woman in the hutong mouth of old Beijing, a poor couple for 20 years, after saddleing the horse, not seeking returns, not seeking anything else, only single-mindedly, serving the living life of Lao Zhuang.
Many times, the answer is actually very close to us, but we don't care about the details. After getting married, Zhuang Zedong and his wife still loved each other, and they really achieved a marriage that respected each other and raised eyebrows.
Atsuko Sasaki has also always called her husband "Mr. Zhuang", and Zhuang Zedong once told her that it is best not to call her by that name. But she refused, in the heart of Atsuko Sasaki, Zhuang Zedong was a great man, a being comparable to a god, and could not be contaminated or defiled. The sadness of Atsuko Sasaki may be that he did not have a son and a half daughter with Sho Nobuto, and only had time to walk with Sho Nobuto for more than twenty years.

Unfortunately, on February 10, 2013, Zhuang Zedong, a veteran of The Chinese table tennis and a hero of Sino-US "table tennis diplomacy", died in Beijing at the age of 73 at 17:06 on the 10th after a five-year tenacious struggle against cancer. In the end, Zhuang Zedong was finally one step ahead of Atsuko Sasaki, the person who had been in the limelight for most of his life, but never woke up again.
For a long time after Chuang's death, Atsuko Sasaki was very confused, and she did not believe that her husband would die. But she did not give up on life, since the people who carried the weight forward had fallen, then she would carry the big banner of the future and continue to move forward.
So far, the "Zhuang Zedong Cup" tournament has gone through a thirty-three-year process, and Mr. Zhuang Zedong, the king of the table tennis generation, has also left the world for more than seven years, and Ms. Atsuko Sasaki has reached the age of seventy-six.
Again heartache, Zhuang Zedong's cemetery was sought by Atsuko Sasaki, and his tombstone was designed by Atsuko Sasaki, which is unique to Atsuko Sasaki's strength. After that, Atsuko Sasaki always visited Zhuang Zedong every three to five minutes, pulling out weeds under the warm afternoon sun, lying on his side and whispering to her husband.
But Heaven did not even give her this opportunity, because of physical reasons, Sasaki Atsuko had to go to Japan for recuperation, even so, within a year, Sasaki Atsuko still had to return to China twice to do two things that had to be done. One is to sweep the grave of Mr. Zhuang Zedong, and the other is to "Zhuang Zedong Cup" children's race to travel all over China to complete the legacy of his deceased husband.
It is no exaggeration to say that after the death of Zhuang Zedong, every "Zhuang Zedong Cup" table tennis tournament, Sasaki Atsuko must be present at the scene, thank the organizers and the participating table tennis teams and coaches for their hard work, and encourage the participating teams to carry forward the spirit of table tennis, perseverance, never say defeat, which is also what Zhuang Zedong hopes to see before he dies.
The competition held by Zhuang Zedong is not about the result, but on the spirit. It does not matter who wins and who loses, the point is that in the game, we must understand the different truths of trade-offs, dedication, unity, tenacity and so on, and learn to deal with people.
I think that perhaps Atsuko Sasaki understood what Shozeto meant, so that she would do one thing consistently for seven years, and after Shozeto's death, Atsuko Sasaki hoped to live like the person she had envisioned.
