General Yang Silu's most memorable war years were during the War of Resistance.
After the outbreak of the All-out War of Resistance, Yang Silu followed the troops to North China and served as a deputy battalion commander in the 12th Regiment of the Jidong Military Sub-district.
On the night of January 25, 1941, panjiayu village, located deep in the Yanshan Mountains in Hebei Province, ushered in the darkest moment, "sweeping" the Eighth Route Army's unsuccessful Japanese Kou and extending the butcher knife to the unarmed people.
The Japanese commander Sasaki ordered that more than 1,500 people in the village be gathered together and begin a brutal massacre, and only about 100 villagers remained for a whole day and a night.
When Yang Silu got the news and led the troops to Panjiayu, even the air was filled with blood, and Yang Silu, who had not shed a tear in his 8 years in the army, cried bitterly and said in a hoarse voice: "This blood debt must be paid in blood!" If you don't kill Sasaki, I swear not to be a man! ”
In the summer of 1942, the Jidong Military Sub-district received information, and Sasaki was leading a team to escort a batch of supplies to Luan County, Hebei Province.
After receiving this information, Yang Silu was overjoyed, and immediately took the initiative to ask for help, and before the troops set off, Yang Silu shouted to the soldiers: "Remember! This is the best opportunity to avenge the death of Pan Jiayu's villagers! Even if nichiko grows wings, he can't let go of one! ”
The warriors had already held their breath, and they were all shaking their fists, like fierce tigers!
Marching in a hurry, Yang Silu led his troops to rush ahead of rikou, and as soon as an ambush circle was set, rikou's convoy came in a mighty way.
After the convoy entered the ambush circle, Yang Silu shouted: "Give me a hard beating!" ”
The combat effectiveness of the Rikou was indeed very strong, Yang Silu's troops were almost exhausted, or they still did not kill this gang of Rikou, at the critical moment, Yang Silu drew out a large knife and shouted: "Fight with them!" After saying that, he jumped out, raised his knife in his hand, slashed and killed, and spilled out all the anger he had accumulated over the past year!
After the war, when cleaning up the battlefield, Yang Silu personally went to look for Sasaki, only to find a japanese corpse next to him, and there was a samurai sword with the name engraved on it, which was the culprit of the Panjiayu massacre, Sasaki!
Yang Silu looked at his corpse, took a bite, and said, "It is my regret that I did not kill you with my own hands!" ”
When he was awarded the rank in 1955, Yang Silu was awarded the rank of air force colonel, and in 1961 he was promoted to major general of the air force. So, how did Yang Silu get to the Air Force?
In 1950, Yang Silu was serving as the commander of the Second Division of The Second Division directly under Erye when he suddenly received a paper transfer order to serve as the chief of staff of the Fifth Aviation School.

Not long after Yang Silu arrived at the Fifth Aviation School, the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea began, and the arrogance of the US Air Force annoyed Yang Silu, so he decided to learn to fly himself!
However, Yang Silu was already in his 30s at the time, past the golden age of pilots, and Yang Silu had not read many books, could he cope with those complicated flight operations and instructions? Even the Soviet instructors thought it impossible and didn't want to teach him.
However, Yang Silu did not give up, and applied up one level at a time, and finally impressed Liu Yalou, the commander of the Air Force, and approved his request.
At first, those complicated operation processes and obscure instructions made Yang Silu very headache, but he did not flinch, as soon as he had time, he went to consult others, or found books to read for himself, learned little by little, accumulated little by little, and finally let him learn a little doorway, more and more confident.
In 1952, Yang Silu began his first flight in the air, the whole action was completed in one go, when the plane ran smoothly in the air, Yang Silu did not forget to humorously say to the Soviet instructors around him: "You see, I am more than 30 years old, I can still fly!" ”
Later, Yang Silu served as the commander of the 3rd Air Force, the deputy commander of the air force of the Lanzhou Military Region, and the commander of the air force of the Fuzhou Military Region, and became an important figure in the field of the new Chinese air force.
On the morning of November 18, 2020, founding Major General Yang Silu passed away at the age of 104.
