The Fujian opera "Silver Kite" tells this story: Shen Que should be a famous bridesmaid from Fuzhou Sanfang Seven Alleys, Lin Xu is the son of the talented Hanmen, fate makes them married, and the common feelings of home and country make them feel the same. In the era of the "Wushu Reform Law" when the "Battle of Jiawu" was defeated and the "Wushu Reform Method" was sought to save the people, Shen Que should encourage her husband to get out of the shadow of the failure of the imperial examination and devote himself to the change of law. When the change failed and Lin Xu, who was only 23 years old, sacrificed his life for the country, Shen Queying also followed her husband's soul.

Lin Ruiwu, screenwriter of "Silver Kite", a national first-class screenwriter and former vice president of the Fujian Provincial Academy of Arts, pointed out that "Silver Kite" is the first time that Lin Xu, the youngest of the "Six Gentlemen of Wushu", has been put on the stage as the protagonist, and it is also the first time that Shen Queying, a famous person who has almost been obliterated by history, has been put on the stage. The whole drama is from the perspective of Shen Queying, from her and Lin Xu's life and death love experience to show Lin Xu and the "Peng Shu Change".

The play is directed by An Fengying, an outstanding female director who is quite influential in the current Chinese theater industry and a national first-class director of the China Critics Theatre. In this rehearsal of "Silver Kite", she used symbolism, metaphor, and even stream of consciousness, which is rare on the stage of Fujian opera.

Yang Dong, director of the Fuzhou Min Theater, said that the play is set against the background of "Peng shu change law" and depicts the tragic and moving love story of Lin Xu, one of the "Six Gentlemen of Wu Shu", and his beloved wife Shen Queying (the great-granddaughter of national hero Lin Zexu and the granddaughter of The late Qing Dynasty minister Shen Baozhen). "This is the first large-scale stage play in Fuzhou to be funded by the National Arts Fund since the establishment of the National Arts Fund."

Huang Xiuchun, a national first-class actor and representative inheritor of the Fuzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Project (Fujian Opera), plays Shen Queying in the play, and Yang Shuai, who plays Lin Xu, is a post-90s wenwu student, who has successively studied under Chen Naichun and Chen Hongxiang, winners of the Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award, and is a dazzling new star on the Fujian drama stage recently.
