In the spring breeze, in the Qianwa Fruit and Vegetable Cooperative in CuijiaJi Town, Pingdu City, strings of cherry tomatoes like "red pearls" hung from the branches. According to the shed owner Liu Na, it is now the cherry tomato fruiting period, the daily trading of cherry tomatoes 250 kilograms, an annual income of up to 200,000 yuan. In Qianwa Village, there are 320 greenhouses like Liu Na, and tomato greenhouses are like cornucopias leading the masses to the road to prosperity. Ju Bingjin, secretary of the party branch of Qianwa Village, told reporters that the Qianwa Fruit and Vegetable Cooperative led by the party branch of Qianwa Village produced more than 6 million kilograms of cherry tomatoes per year, achieving sales income of more than 72 million yuan.

In the past, the villagers of Qianwa Village mainly planted wheat and corn, the masses had no way to increase income, and the per capita annual income was less than 9,000 yuan, which was a well-known "old and difficult village" in the town. "The village has a unique geographical location, soil structure and climatic conditions. The soil in this area is relatively sticky, belongs to the saline alkaline soil, the water quality is salty, and the fruit that is watered has a good taste, high sweetness, and has a fragrant taste, and it cannot be eaten with a skin. Ju Bingjin said that qianwa village set up a qianwa fruit and vegetable cooperative for the development of cherry tomatoes due to the situation in the transfer of village land. In addition to soil and water, Qianwa Village also explores unique cherry tomato cultivation methods and modern planting techniques to impress the brand.

"We crush the corn stalks and mix them into the soil to grow cherry tomatoes, using organic fertilizers such as cow manure, pig manure, and chicken manure." Fruit farmer Wu Renjie introduced. In the process of cherry tomato production, the local government vigorously improves the quality and safety system of cherry tomatoes, and adopts straw bioreactor technology, integration of vegetables and fertilizer in facilities, insect control net and yellow plate insecticidal technology, plant audio frequency control and other technologies to maintain the vitality of production and improve product quality. Tested by the authoritative department, its vitamin C, lycopene, total sugar, soluble solids and sugar-acid ratio exceeded more than 20% of the specified value of the specification, and the total acid was lower than 30% of the specified value.

"The cherry tomatoes here are famous and of good quality, they can't grab the goods, no matter how much they produce, they are not enough to sell, I buy 3500 kilograms of cherry tomatoes every day, I don't worry about sales at all, and I come to book every year during the picking period." Wu Kecai, a fruit broker who has been working for more than 10 years, said.

After the launch of the cherry tomato brand in Qianwa Village, more and more farmers have been attracted to engage in tomato planting, which not only effectively promotes the circulation of land in the town and the revitalization of town and village assets, but also opens up a new path for the village to increase collective income. Qianwa Village raised funds from many sources to establish a tomato facility greenhouse with collective property rights, obtained collective income through leasing, and achieved an annual village collective income increase of 46,000 yuan.

At 12:30 p.m. on April 9, it was lunchtime, carrying a bag of buns, Ji Liang told reporters: "Just went to the restaurant to buy rice and actually queued up for half an hour, and now picking cherry tomatoes is needing manpower, and a restaurant needs to solve the lunch of more than 200 people." ”

The vigorous development of the whole industrial chain of the fruit and vegetable industry has attracted more and more people to come to work, some villagers have seen business opportunities, opened fast food restaurants and small supermarkets in the village, and Qianwa Village began to plan to build a "farmhouse" economic chain with local characteristics.

On the basis of further expanding the scale of planting, Qianwa Village will create a multi-state agricultural innovation demonstration body such as fruit and vegetable planting, deep processing of agricultural products, sightseeing experience, farm stays, transaction logistics, and e-commerce, extend the tomato industry chain, realize the linkage development of one, two and three industries, enhance the added value of products, and create a "red highland" for the tomato industry.
