Survival One Plus One (Part I).
This handsome black bear is enjoying the view from the trees. Suddenly, two daring men broke into its territory, the Allegheny Mountains, which stretched for more than 8,000 square kilometers of rugged mountain forests. To survive here, you must adapt to the unpredictable weather while also being wary of black bear attacks. Matt and Joe were parachuted here.
In the beginning, they suffered from heavy rain and did not have raincoats or umbrellas. The priority is to find a shelter. Matt saw a raised rock and walked over to see that it was just enough to accommodate two people. He thought it could be a night's rest, but Joe thought it might be a black bear's lair. In case the black bear returned, they would become turtles in the urn, so they decided to make plans again.
In fact, Joe was right. They hadn't taken a few steps when they stepped on a lump of bear droppings. Joe asked Matt to smell it to confirm it was fresh. Needless to say, black bears are nearby. So they quickened the pace of leaving. After groping for a long time in the dark, they still did not find a suitable shelter. In desperation, they could only surround a bed with leaves in the clearing. They snuggled up to each other for warmth and spent the cold night.
After dawn, they began to look at the map. Due to the complexity of the terrain, even their wilderness survival experts are overwhelmed. Now the only way is to follow the direction of the map to find the river. However, before heading off, Joe needs to do some work. He needs to cut down a tree and make a spear that can deal with black bears. To make the spearhead more lethal, they began to rub on dead wood. The heat generated by friction can make the spearhead harder.
With weapons at hand, Joe and Matt set off. On the way, they come across a chestnut tree, which is very important to them. So they picked up some chestnuts on the ground in case they couldn't find food in the back. Then they moved on. In the trees, they found paw prints of black bears. Looking at the height and depth of the paw print, it is enough to show that the size and strength of this black bear are amazing.
Matt and Joe are no match for it. They were so frightened that they ran along the bushes, not knowing how long they had walked. Ahead, they found a drainage ditch that they intended to follow, perhaps finding the river. Finally, they found a stream, but it wasn't the one on the map. Seeing that the sun was about to go down, they didn't care about the creeks and rivers, and finding a safe shelter for the night was the most important thing.
