Marriage and Family: Monica's Story.
There is a woman in history named Monica, who was an excellent prisoner and a woman of faith. Monica or her parents were forced to marry a husband with a bad temper, an alcoholic, and strong personality. Although her married life was not happy, she and her husband had a very intelligent child, Augustine, who would later become one of the greatest and most influential twenty people. Monica's mother prays every day for her child, because she knows that in front of her husband and children, she is a weak woman, she believes in Christianity, but her husband behaves like an outcast, and the child lives a luxurious life and it is difficult to restrain the desires of the flesh. Therefore, Monica's mother often wept, and one day while at worship, her mother heard her praying for her children behind the pillar. When the bishop heard the cry, he went behind the pillar and saw Monica praying for the child, so he said to her, "A child who needs the mother's prayer will not perish." Monica replied: "I am Monica, my child is very intelligent, but his desire is very strong, I grieve for it and pray for him every day."
