Of course, everyone knows that "Deer Ding" is only a fictional work of Mr. Jin Yong, so in the impression of many people, Chen Jinnan is also just a fictional character.
Zheng Chenggong
In fact, in real history, Chen Jinnan is also a pivotal historical figure, and at the same time, the Tiandihui with the slogan of anti-Qing and restoration of the Ming Dynasty has a far-reaching historical impact.
Before talking about Chen Jinnan, we must first say zheng chenggong, a famous national hero in history. After the fall of the Ming Dynasty, Zheng Chenggong's father, Zheng Zhilong, established Zhu Yujian as emperor in Fujian, known in history as the "Longwu Regime", and Zheng Chenggong subsequently became the most important anti-Qing general in the Southern Ming Dynasty.
In order to restore the Daming River and Mountains as soon as possible, Zheng Chenggong recruited talents on the southeast coast, and someone recommended a young man named Chen Yonghua to him.
Chen Jinnan
Chen Yonghua's father, who was also a ming dynasty widow, committed suicide and martyrdom when the Qing soldiers invaded Fujian, so Chen Yonghua had very deep feelings for Daming and was a staunch anti-Qing, and more importantly, many of Chen Yonghua's political views and ideas made Zheng Chenggong very appreciative, so Chen Yonghua became Zheng Chenggong's confidant and staff officer.
Then I think everyone has already guessed that this Chen Yonghua, that is, Chen Jinnan, who later became famous in the world. After the fall of the Longwu regime, the anti-Qing forces on the southeast coast were gradually defeated, and by 1647, Zheng Chenggong had been seriously injured, and the tens of thousands of soldiers led by zheng chenggong were facing a serious shortage of grain and grass, and in order to continue to resist the Qing Dynasty, Zheng Chenggong planned to take Taiwan as his foothold.
Before retreating to Taiwan, Zheng Chenggong had a long all-night conversation with Chen Jinnan, and Chen Jinnan proposed that before the evacuation, a secret underground organization should be established in Fujian to continue the struggle against the Qing Dynasty, so that on the one hand, it could continue to recruit talents who opposed the Qing Dynasty and restore the Ming Dynasty, and it could also bury a secret chess piece in the Qing Dynasty's sphere of influence at any time as a countermeasure.
There are historical records: The Heaven and Earth Society, according to legend, was established by the king of Yanping County to restore the Ming Room.
At the same time, in the relevant materials within the Heaven and Earth Society, it is also recorded that Chen Jinnan personally selected and trained disciples at the beginning of the establishment of the Heaven and Earth Society, so some historical researchers believe that the Heaven and Earth Society was actually authorized by Zheng Chenggong to be founded, but the person who actually controlled the Heaven and Earth Society at that time was undoubtedly Chen Jinnan, so the members of the Heaven and Earth Society in later generations also regarded Chen Jinnan as the founder.
Under the operation of Chen Jinnan, the Heaven and Earth Society soon spread throughout the country, but in 1662, Zheng Chenggong died, and Chen Jinnan had to stay in Taiwan to continue to assist Zheng Chenggong's son. Since then, Chen Jinnan has greatly promoted education and the Tuntian system in Taichung, which has rapidly improved the economy and culture of this barbaric island.
In 1680, Chen Jinnan died of illness and was buried in Tainan, but the Tiandihui he founded continued to grow and develop, not only spreading throughout the country, but even spreading in Southeast Asia, so the more it developed later, the Tiandihui branched out a number of societies, such as the Brotherhood, the Triad, the Red Flower Society, and so on.
Although these separate organizations have their own portals, but they all have a common name, that is, the modern people are familiar with the "Hongmen", Hongmen is actually the Heaven and Earth Society, hongmen hongzi, is taken from Zhu Yuanzhang's era name "Hongwu", in modern times, the Hongmen organization has actively participated in the anti-Japanese and revolutionary, to this day, Hongmen is still active around the world, is one of the most influential Chinese organizations in modern times.
