Li Guang was born in 1914 in Yilong County, Sichuan Province, and was always a fellow villager with Zhu Lao, and when he was 6 years old, several of Li Guang's relatives suddenly died one after another, leaving him and his mother to live together.
In the winter of 1932, when the Red Army liberated Yilong, an independent company was established, and Li Guang wanted to join, but he could not rest assured that his mother at home, but his mother was also a person who understood the great righteousness, and said to him: "Son, go, the Red Army is our hope!" ”
In this way, 18-year-old Li Guang embarked on the road of revolution.
In a very short period of time, the number of independent companies suddenly rose to four or five hundred, and the superiors reorganized this independent company into an independent battalion, and Li Guang served as the platoon leader of the second platoon of the second company.
At that time, there was a reactionary armed force in Dadongshan, called the "Big Knife Society", which often fought and robbed the house, no different from the bandits, and the first goal of the independent battalion was to take down this "Big Knife Society".
In fact, the "Big Knife Society" has long been eyeing the independent battalion of the Red Army, but it does not know the details of the independent battalion, so it wants to come to a "Hongmen banquet" and try the depth of the independent battalion.
Soon, the invitation was sent to Li Guang's hand, and when Li Guang saw that the opportunity had come, he gathered the warriors and ambushed them under the Dadong Mountain, taking three people with him, and going up the mountain to meet this "big knife meeting".
The leader of the "Great Knife Society", known as the "Dragon Crossing the River", was fierce, and he saw that Li Guang had only brought three people, so he prepared to smash the cup as a number and solve them first.
However, after three rounds of wine, before Jiang Long could make trouble, Li Guang and the other three people threw away their clothes, only to see that their whole body was tied with explosives, Li Guang smiled and said: "This great gift, I don't know if you are satisfied?" Our independent battalion has reached the bottom of the mountain, and the wise ones quickly raise their hands and surrender, otherwise, we will go to see the king of Yama together! ”
Although Guo Jianglong was fierce, he still did not dare to do the fatal thing, and even let the brothers put down their guns and obediently surrendered.
At that time, Li Guang was only 19 years old, and he had such courage and boldness, and even Mr. Zhu praised this little fellow!
In fact, Li Guang's original name was Li Guangyu, why did he change his name to Li Guang? This has to start from the time of the War of Resistance.
In the autumn of 1941, the Japanese Kou launched a major sweep of the Jizhong Military Region, targeting Li Guang's 29th Regiment. Rikou originally wanted to eat the 29th Regiment in one bite, but he didn't expect to fight for a whole day, but he didn't fight it down, so he had to retreat first and hold a meeting to discuss the follow-up battle plan.
When Li Guang saw that the Japanese Kou's offensive was not as fierce as before, he felt that something was wrong, so he sent someone to reconnoiter, and when he learned that the Japanese Kou were holding a meeting, Li Guang immediately decided to select dozens of fighters to form a commando team, personally lead the team, and hit the Japanese Kou by surprise!
Li Guang and the commando team quietly touched the place where the Japanese Kou held the meeting, let the soldiers take out grenades, and threw them all over, for a time, the explosions came and went, and the Japanese Kou who was holding the meeting were blown up and cried wolf.
Before the smoke cleared, Li Guang led the commando team to kill him, and after a bloody battle, he killed more than a hundred Japanese Kou and arrested an officer named Duo Duoliang.
The Japanese were already exhausted, and they were raided by the Eighth Route Army, losing several officers, and had to withdraw their troops.
The battle of the 29th Regiment completely made a name for itself on the Jizhong Plain, and Lü Zhengcao, commander of the Jizhong Military Region, also praised Li Guang: "Strong personality, brave in combat, and determined to be tough!" ”
The commander of the North China Front of the Japanese invasion of China at that time was Okamura Ningji, and after hearing about this incident, he said angrily: "We must find this Li Guangyu, I will shoot him ten thousand times!" ”
For a time, the Japanese puppet army on the Jizhong Plain began to work, posting notices everywhere offering a reward to Li Guangyu, and those who provided clues were rewarded with heavy rewards.
After Li Guang learned of this news, he laughed and said, "I didn't expect me to be famous!" ”
But the joke is a joke, for the sake of the overall situation of the anti-Japanese resistance, but also for his own personal safety, Li Guangyu hid the word "Yu" in his name and changed his name to Li Guang.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Li Guang served as the deputy commander of the 68th Army and the director of the engineering corps of the Nanjing Military Region, and was awarded the founding major general in 1955.
Today, General Li Guang is 106 years old, and hereby wishes the old general health and longevity, and the sword is not old!
