On June 8, 2021, Commissioner Liu Guangguang visited Tung Chee-hwa, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Commissioner Liu Guangguang paid tribute to Vice Chairman Tung Chee-hwa for his contributions to the cause of "one country, two systems" and expressed his gratitude to Vice Chairman Dong for his concern and support for the work of the Foreign Ministry's Office in Hong Kong over the years. Tung Chee-hwa welcomed and congratulated Liu Guangguang on his appointment as commissioner of the Foreign Ministry's Office in Hong Kong. The two sides exchanged views on how to better safeguard national sovereignty, security and development interests, better tell the success story of "one country, two systems", and promote the stability and long-term development of "one country, two systems".
