Beijing, 30 Apr (Xinhuanet) -- To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of people's musician Liu Chi, the China Coal Mine Cultural and Labor Troupe held a special concert "A Big River" at the Guotu Concert Hall in Beijing on the eve of May Day.

People's musician Liu Chi is one of the most influential composers in the history of modern Chinese music. In his 60-year artistic career, he has created more than 600 works, including his representative works "My Motherland", "Ode to the Motherland", "Hero's Hymn", "Let's Swing the Oars", as well as the opera "White Haired Girl", "Ashima", the round dance song "Dianchi Round Dance" and other popular and popular.

Liu Chi was the head of the China Coal Mine Cultural and Industrial Troupe.
