Changchun, July 19 (China News Network) (Reporter Lu Shengnan) "The motherland, the people, and the Chinese nation are the eternal (creative) themes of my father. Liu Xinxin, the son of the famous composer Liu Chi, said in Changchun on the 19th.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of Liu Chi's birth. On the same day, the "Melody of the Times - Liu Chi in Northeast (Changchun) Symposium" was held in the conference room of the Changying Concert Hall. Liu Chi's son, Liu Xinxin, vice president of China Yan'an Luyi Alumni Association, Liu Tongyan, an old artist of Changying, Xiaolian, the queen of the famous director Wang Jiayi, Zhang Danmu, daughter of Gongmu, writers Fangzi and Zhang Yan, gathered together to remember this artist.

Born in 1921, Liu Chi composed more than ten operas, thousands of songs, and many instrumental pieces, as well as dance music, drama music and radio gymnastics music. Among them, the interludes "My Motherland", "Hero Praise", "Let's Swing the Oars" and other musical works created for the long film films "Shangganling", "Heroes and Children", and "Flowers of the Motherland" have been sung endlessly.

At the symposium on the same day, it began with the playback of music works created by Liu Chi. "Liu Chi is a great artist. In his early years, he suffered a lot, but he still insisted on artistic creation, and his works were very valuable. The 81-year-old Liu Tongyan is already full of hair, but he still insists on being present to remember this old friend.

"My father joined the 'Doll Anti-War Theater Troupe' in Yan'an at the age of 15, and since he was a child, he has been burning the 'flame of revolution' in his heart. When "Yellow River Chorus" was first sung in Yan'an, the magnificent artistic charm immediately shocked him, and the next day he went to apply for the Yan'an Lu Xun Art Institute and became a student of the famous musician Xian Xinghai. "Liu Xinxin recalled that his father, Liu Chi, sang "The March of the Volunteer Army" and "The Song of the National Salvation Army" in front of Xian Xinghai and talked about his understanding of these two songs. It was as simple as that, my father was admitted to Xian Xinghai. ”

"One of the things I've worked hard to do in the past few years is to let more people know that Liu Chi is a very well-rounded musician." Liu Xinxin said that people living in New China after all kinds of suffering will produce unlimited happiness and sense of gain, and Liu Chi's works are the most emotional expression of this sense of spiritual gain.

Today, the Long Shadow Orchestra, which has embarked on a nationwide tour, has brought popular songs such as "My Motherland" to 24 cities in 12 provinces, and hot notes and high melodies are playing throughout the country. (End)
