When I filled out the donation certificate at the memorial, I had just reported my father's name, and the staff immediately said the medal and placement of the father's donation. Dandong Yalu River Broken Bridge
On the afternoon of October 25, the descendants of volunteer soldiers came to the famous Yalu River Broken Bridge. 70 years ago, some volunteer commanders and fighters crossed the Yalu River from here and pounced on the korean battlefield. In order to cut off the supply line of the Chinese side, the US military has repeatedly bombed the bridge indiscriminately. On November 8, 1950, the bridge was blown up, and the remaining four-hole residual bridge of the Chinese side has been preserved to this day, known as the "Yalu River Broken Bridge". In the nearly one hundred years since the advent of this bridge, it has witnessed the difficult process of the Chinese nation rising up and fighting, from experiencing setbacks to continuous victories, from standing up to getting rich and then becoming strong.

Sacrifice to the heroes
On the morning of October 26, the descendants of volunteer soldiers paid homage to the Martyrs' Cemetery of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea in Dandong. Located in the northern foothills of the scenic Jinjiang Mountains, the Dandong Martyrs' Cemetery is the earliest volunteer martyrs' cemetery built in China. At that time, the General Logistics Hospital of the Volunteer Army was located in Dandong, and the seriously injured who died and the wounded who died in transit were buried in Dandong. Cadres above the regimental level who died and famous combat heroes were transported back to China and were initially buried in Dandong. In May 1951, the 50th Volunteer Army returned to China to recuperate, and the first martyrs' cemetery was built here, where 400 Volunteer martyrs were buried. Including the volunteer army's special combat heroes Yang Gensi, Huang Jiguang and other martyrs. In August 1951, after the completion of the Shenyang Martyrs' Cemetery for Resisting US Aggression and Aiding Korea, some cadres at or above the regimental level and famous combat heroes were moved to Shenyang for burial.
The descendants of the volunteer soldiers who swept the martyrs' cemetery, holding flowers, stood solemnly under the martyrs' monument in the cemetery. With the commander-in-chief's command, the phalanx moved forward in a neat manner, picking up the steps, just like the wave of the army surging up, like a wave of tide. The descendants of the volunteer soldiers presented flower baskets to the Martyrs' Monument and arranged the ribbons on the baskets.
In front of the Martyrs' Monument, the descendants of four volunteer soldiers who recited the memorial text stood solemnly: Kuang Xiongwei, son of Kuang Fuzhao, political commissar of the 67th Army of the Volunteer Army, Wu Zhimin, son of Wu Dai, the second political commissar of the 38th Army of the Volunteer Army, Zeng Yao, daughter of Zeng Yongya, the first deputy commander of the 50th Army of the Volunteer Army, and Wu Yinghua, daughter of Wu Rongzheng, commander of the 21st Rocket Artillery Division of the Volunteer Army. On the afternoon of October 26, the descendants of the volunteer soldiers drove for 2 hours to the site of the broken bridge where the first main force of the volunteer army at the mouth of the Changdian River crossed the river to participate in the war in Korea.
The organizing committee prepared flower petals in advance and arranged for the descendants of volunteer soldiers to take boats to the Yalu River to sacrifice in the heart of the Yalu River, and to express their endless condolences for the heroic martyrs of more than 197,000 volunteers who sacrificed themselves on the Korean battlefield.

The site of the broken bridge on the North-South Estuary Highway to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. The broken bridge was formerly known as Qingcheng Bridge, with a total length of 709.12 meters, a bridge deck width of 6 meters, 22 piers, and 21 holes. Construction began in 1941 and was completed in December of the following year. On October 19, 1950, Commander Peng Dehuai was ordered to lead the Chinese Volunteer Army across the Yalu River from Dandong, Hekou and Ji'an. On October 23, 1950, Mao Anying traveled from the pontoon bridge to the Korean Battlefield. On March 30, 1951, U.S. aircraft took turns bombing the Yalu River Bridge, and the estuary highway bridge was blown off.

The organizer originally arranged for us to sing the 38th Army military song "The Army of Steel", in addition to the 17 people attending the meeting, they also contacted many people whose fathers had worked in the 38th Army or who had served as soldiers in the 38th Army, and also prepared accompaniment tapes to communicate with the staff. The heroic feats and feelings deeply touched Wei Wei, who was also a soldier, and in his passionate thoughts, he turned it into an immortal poem that touched thousands of Chinese people and inspired Chinese soldiers, one by one, reportage "Who is the most lovely person". It was published in the People's Daily on April 11, 1951, and Chairman Mao issued instructions: Print and distribute to the whole army.
