This is a critically endangered species endemic to New Zealand, a nocturnal parrot that prefers to live alone. They are also the only parrots that practice polygamy, and their mating method is the courtship mating system, that is, when the courtship season is reached, the male parrots will gather in an arena-like place for talent display (unique dance and singing) and appearance display to attract the opposite sex.
However, the quality of the competition field can usually also affect the production of mating, so male parrots will often use their own calls to intimidate other competitors because of a good competition field, and if the call does not scare off the opponent, they will even clash with other competitors and fight hard.
After mating, the male parrot and the female parrot will be separated from each other and will not be partners, and their encounters will only be passed on... "scumbag" is no doubt.
In addition, the reproduction rate of owl parrots is very low, they do not reproduce every year, they need to have enough fruit on the tree to consider breeding.
