Evergreen Tree in the Drama World - "Chaoyanggou"

The Yu opera "Chaoyanggou" is one of the earlier local operas I came into contact with. At the end of the 1970s after the end of the Cultural Revolution, this play was often played on the radio, and after listening enough to the gongs and drums of the model drama and watching enough of the plot of fighting, fighting, killing and killing, this local drama that reflected the love theme of rural youth was universally loved by rural people. In our place, when young people get married, the play is played on the loudspeaker in the village for several days, and from morning to night, many people can hum a few songs. When the cousin in my hospital gets married, the two families will kiss the family, and the people who specialize in the music of the loudspeaker will also have fun, repeatedly playing the paragraph "Mother, you sit down, let's talk about the confidant", the atmosphere of life is rich, causing the two families to laugh and be happy.

Now this play has become a classic repertoire of Yu opera, and it is still active on the opera stage. Excerpts from it are also often sung at galas.

Recently, I watched the "Chaoyanggou" movie film made in 1963, listened to the cassette tape several times, and watched several different versions of the "Chaoyanggou" comic strip, there are Liu Jijie's version, He Youzhi's version, Du Ziling's version, compared with my collection of "Chaoyanggou" scripts, I found that each version is different. From the small lyrics and confessions, to the plot of the scene, and even the character titles have changed.

I also checked some information on the Internet and knew that there were three main versions of "Chaoyanggou", the 1963 film version, the 1978 stage version, and the new version in 2000. The film version is limited by the length of the movie, and the need for film artistic performance, and the stage version has a big difference, the movie version is only 1 hour and 40 minutes, the stage version is generally about 2 hours, so the movie version deleted some singing segments, including "My nephew wrote me a letter in the army" and other popular singing segments. In the stage version, the character with a very prominent personality, the second eldest wife, is called the second aunt in the movie version.

I grew up in contact with the 78 version, the most emotional about the version, think that it is different from the 78 version, it is not right.

The following is my collection of "Chaoyanggou" script, written by Yang Lanchun, henan people's publishing house in December 1977 a page of a print. Hardcover, nearly ten products. There are nine scenes in total. In addition to the script, there is also the main theme score of the whole play.
