Founding Major General Luke

He joined the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in October 1929, joined the Communist Youth League of China in the same year, and transferred to the Communist Party of China in 1932. During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, after January 1930, he served as a squad leader, platoon leader and company commander in the 100th Regiment of the Red Twelfth Army. At the end of 1930, he entered the third period of the Red Army University of Ruijin. In the following year, he was incorporated into the Red Ninth Army and served as a company political instructor, branch secretary, regiment organization officer, battalion instructor, secretary of the regimental general branch, guerrilla leader and political commissar. He participated in five anti-"encirclement and suppression" operations in the Central Soviet Region and the 25,000-mile Long March. He participated in the Battle of Zunyi and the forced crossing of the Jinsha River. In a battle, he was seriously wounded in the head, and his comrades thought that he had died, and just when his comrades carried him to the outside of the village to be buried, he woke up, and was carried by his comrades to continue the journey, and then climbed the snowy mountains and crossed the meadows, and finally reached northern Shaanxi in victory. After arriving in northern Shaanxi, he served as an assistant of the direct subordinate team of the Red Thirty-second Army. In 1936, he entered the Yan'an Chinese University of the Anti-Japanese Red Army.

After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he was appointed as an instructor of the cadet team of the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University in August 1937, and a political commissar of the cavalry regiment of the Jizhong Military Region in December 1939. In August 1940, he led his troops to participate in the Zhengtai Road Breaking Battle of the "Hundred Regiments War" launched by the Eighth Route Army, which dealt a heavy blow to the reactionary arrogance of the Japanese puppet army. In March 1941, he was appointed as the regional captain of the Eighth Military Subdistrict of Jizhong Province. During this period, Luke was resourceful and flexible in his struggle against the enemy, showing great wisdom and courage. At the turn of the spring and summer of 1941, the Japanese Kou carried out a brutal "May Day" sweep, and Luke was active at the junction of enemy and us, encountering the enemy alone at baiyangdian, and his abdomen was pierced by enemy bullets, and blood flowed. He quickly covered the wound with a silver dollar, tied it tightly with a cloth belt, jumped into the river, and swam nearly a kilometer with amazing perseverance. After getting rid of the enemy, find a basic mass home to lurk and recuperate. After recovering from his injuries, he lost contact with his superiors. He did not wait passively, and there was no pessimistic disappointment. He organized several fighters of other units scattered by the enemy, consciously mobilized the masses, publicized the Party's anti-Japanese policy, restored the Party's organization, persisted in guerrilla warfare behind enemy lines, and made important contributions to cracking down on the Japanese aggressors and opening up, strengthening, and consolidating the anti-Japanese base areas. In November 1942, he entered the second branch of the Chinese Anti-Japanese Military and Political University, and after graduating in April 1944, he became the captain of the Tenth Military Sub-district of the Jizhong Military Region and the director of the Security Department of the Political Department of the Jizhong Military Region.

During the Liberation War, he was appointed director of the Military Justice Division of the Political Department of the Hebei Central Military Region in April 1947, director of the Organization Department of the Central Hebei Military Region in August 1948, and director of the Organization Department of the Political Department of the Hebei Provincial Military Region in August 1949. From his participation in the revolutionary struggle in 1929 to the founding of New China in October 1949, Luke has been a pioneer in the past 20 years, born into death, heroically participated in the war, showed a lofty spirit of sacrifice, good command ability and organizational ability, and contributed all his sincerity to the cause of the liberation of the Chinese people.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he was appointed deputy director of the Political Department of the Hebei Provincial Military Region in June 1951, director of the Political Department of the Hebei Provincial Military Region in June 1952, and deputy political commissar and director of the Political Department of the Hebei Provincial Military Region in January 1959. He was wounded several times during his long military career and during the war years, which greatly damaged Luke's health. In 1966, he was granted sick leave by the organization. After retiring, Luke served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Fourth Hebei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He also attaches great importance to the education of his children and has established a good family style. He is approachable, warm and warm, and is loved by the people around him and the common people. He was in the north, and his heart was tied to his hometown. Over the years, he has been very concerned about the construction of his hometown, and has donated money, donated materials, built broadcasts, tea gardens, and purchased tractors for the production of the people of his hometown many times, and has worked hard for the construction of his hometown.

In 1955, he was awarded the rank of major general, the Order of August 1, 3rd Class, the Order of Independence and Freedom, 2nd Class, and the Liberation Medal 2nd Class. In 1988, he was awarded the Medal of Merit of the Red Star, First Class.

On February 27, 1994, founding Major General Luke died of illness in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, at the age of 82.
