In the face of the gas crisis encountered by EU countries, the Turkish president pointed out that Russia is taking all means and weapons to protect itself, it is clear that natural gas is russia's main means of countering the EU, in fact, neither Russia nor the EU wants natural gas to become a medium of conflict, but it does happen, no one can control it, and this also makes the EU directly encounter the most serious "winter crisis".
Subsequently, the Turkish president began to "schadenfreude". He stressed that the EU's "winter crisis" does not exist in Turkey, because Turkey is not carried away, and the EU is "self-inflicted" because of its sanctions and anti-Russian actions, because these countries took the lead in attacking Russia, so Russia decided to use natural gas as a counter-attack, so the EU needs to fully assume all responsibility, after all, this is what they made themselves.
In fact, the Turkish president is right. After the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, EU countries have been seeking to suppress Russia. In addition to economic and trade sanctions, the EU is also seeking to block the way out of Russia's and Europe's energy trade. Just like the Russian-European gas trade, it has been called "drug use" by many EU officials and EU countries, accusing Russia of "evil control" of the EU through energy trade.
Coupled with the G7 countries Canada and the United States from the trip, the key equipment of the Nord Stream 1 pipeline has not yet been handed over to Russia, which has caused the natural gas supply capacity of the Russian-European pipeline to plummet from the initial 100% to 20%. If the EU had not been the first to use energy as a weapon to sanction Russia, Russia would not have used energy as a weapon to counter the EU. After the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, because it did not follow the EU and the United States sanctions against Russia, Turkey was labeled "outlier" and "democratic traitor" by many EU countries.
