  Tianshan Network News (reporter Xie Huichang correspondent Li Zhihong reported) Since entering October, the poplar forests in many places in southern Xinjiang in our region have entered the best viewing period. This is the conclusion reached by the Xinjiang Agricultural Meteorological Observatory and local meteorological stations to analyze and forecast the optimal observation time of poplar forest by consulting local literature, phenological observations and future temperature trends, and it is the first time that the meteorological department of the autonomous region has carried out this forecast service.

  The analysis results show that the poplar forests in Five places, including Shaya, Bachu, Zepu, Yu plough and Luntai, have begun to turn yellow in mid-to-early October. Among them, the best viewing period of Shaya poplar forest will appear after October 19 and enter the deciduous period on November 5; the best viewing period of Bachu poplar forest will start from October 20, enter the best viewing period after October 23, and enter the deciduous period after November 8; Zepu poplar forest will enter the best viewing period after October 20 and enter the deciduous period after November 3; and the Weili poplar forest will enter the best viewing period after October 22 and enter the defoliation period in early November The poplar forest enters the best viewing period after October 17 and the deciduous period after November 2.

  Li Yingchun, senior engineer of Xinjiang Agricultural Meteorological Observatory, introduced that in order to enhance tourists' experience of viewing poplar forests and serve the development of tourism in Xinjiang, in early October, the Xinjiang Agricultural Meteorological Observatory released the "2021 Southern Xinjiang Poplar Forest Discoloration Time Forecast", predicting the color change time, best viewing period and deciduous period of poplar forests in Scenic Spots such as Shaya, Bachu, Zepu, Yuli and Luntai.

  According to reports, in recent years, the Meteorological Bureau of the Autonomous Region and the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Autonomous Region have continued to carry out strategic cooperation, successively planning and implementing forecast service products such as spring flower viewing forecasts, summer sightseeing agriculture and autumn poplar "golden leaves", with the help of the Autonomous Region Tourism Development Committee's "a mobile phone tour xinjiang" platform to tourists inside and outside Xinjiang, and also combined with pomegranate, pear, apple, grape and other picking festivals held throughout Xinjiang to enrich forecast service products, enhance tourist experience, and help Xinjiang's tourism development and rural revitalization.
