Lemon capsicum pepper, formerly known as Aji Limo (pronounced a-hi li-mo), means "Lima pepper" from the peruvian capital City of Lima When it first began to appear on the U.S. market, the name was mistakenly spelled Aji Limon ("lemon pepper"), but this mistake has been deeply rooted and is now more widely known. In Peru it is better known as "Kellu Uchu" It is a medium-to-spicy pepper with a fruity aroma similar to citrus or lemon, and is a popular condiment in Peru. Height 1-2 m, no pruning, good branching. A single plant can produce more than 100 fruits a year. The flowers are pollinated and matured in about 80 days. The fruit is long and tapered, with some folds. Fresh lemon peppers are a perfect match for grilled fish or chicken and are also used to make salsa and chili sauce.
