There is no shortage of voices on the island that sarcastically question the DPP authorities, "I have paid protection fees again." "Is the people's tax money going to be wasted like this?"
US arms sales to Taiwan can be described as an out-and-out "seller's market," and almost all of what they sell, at what price, and when they are delivered is almost all decided by the United States. According to the US "Defense News" on August 25, in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and the new crown pneumonia epidemic affecting the supply capacity of US arms dealers, the US arms sales to Taiwan have been "largely backlogged", and the backlog of arms sales to Taiwan has reached 14 billion US dollars. In addition to ranking last on the list of US arms suppliers, taiwan's previously delivered weapons were often of high price and quality, either obsolete or artificially restricted in combat capabilities, and Taiwan's "good name" of "garbage dumps for US second-hand warships" has long been internationally renowned. For example, in 2019, Taiwan's "Legislative Yuan" passed a bill to spend $8 billion to buy 66 F-16V fighters from the United States, and the unit price of this "three-and-a-half-generation" fighter of $120 million not only far exceeded the "market price", but even exceeded the cost of the U.S. fifth-generation aircraft F35, and it will not arrive until 2026. By buying "scrap" weapons at such a "sky-high price," the DPP has vividly explained how it can be a qualified wrongdoer.
However, all of the above cannot dampen the enthusiasm of the DPP authorities to pay "protection fees." On the 25th of last month, the DPP authorities passed the "largest defense budget in history", an increase of 13.9% year-on-year. Sadly, the "huge" protection fees paid by the DPP authorities to the United States not only fail to protect Taiwan, but put Taiwan in an even more dangerous situation. The United States claims that arms sales to Taiwan are aimed at "strengthening Taiwan's defense capabilities," but what is in its heart is the wishful thinking of "making a lot of money" and "using Taiwan to control China." The DPP authorities must call it "homeland defense," but in fact they are just pawns, tools, and pawns that are bound up in their future and destiny. The two sides of Taiwan and the United States are in collusion with each other, everyone is acting, and they have been enriched by the private pockets of Taiwan's high-level US military and military political leaders and arms dealers, sacrificing the interests of the Taiwan people, not only having their hard-earned money squandered, but also having to bear the evil consequences of the increasing tension in the Taiwan Strait.
Will the DPP authorities not only send money to "Daddy America" in arms purchases? Its beautiful "selling Taiwan" has always been diverse, varied, crisp and clean, and never soft.
For example, Taiwan is now a "fragrant food" and "cash machine" in the hearts of some anti-China politicians in the United States. After former US Secretary of State Pompeo stepped down, the DPP paid $150,000 for "speech fees." U.S. Congressman Graham asked Taiwan to buy a Boeing airliner when he led a delegation to Taiwan in April, and more than four months later, Taiwan's China Airlines spent a huge amount of money to accept all the orders. When former US Defense Secretary Mark Esper led a delegation to Taiwan, he vainly said that Taiwan should be "a soldier for both men and women, and all the people should be soldiers." In such a big way as to make such a big fuss and incite war, the DPP authorities had to be careful and thorough, and pay a lot of "carriage and horse fees." Every US politician who shouts "defend democracy" and "safeguard freedom" visits Taiwan and returns with his money bag full, which can be described as fame and fortune. What did Taiwan get? Since Tsai Ing-wen took office, 8 so-called "countries with diplomatic relations" have been "severed", and not a single international organization has entered; Their own interests have been damaged, and the ordinary people of Taiwan have not only been taken to "pay tribute" with their own hard-earned money, but have also been tied to the chariot of "Taiwan independence" and driven step by step into the dangerous abyss.
The DPP is careful to serve not only "American dads," but any "friendly Taiwan" forces that can stand for its "Taiwan independence" will be treated with courtesy by it as a guest of honor. The DPP authorities often regard the "personal visits to Taiwan" of some national legislators as the country's official "friendly Taiwan" behavior, thus hoodwinking the people and bluffing. Previously, Slovak parliamentarians went to the stage, but this trip was not officially recognized by the country's parliament. The delegation cannot represent Congress, so who pays for the cost of the visit? Presumably, it is still the DPP who has been wronged. At the beginning of this year, the DPP authorities paid for a political lobbying campaign in Guatemala that amounted to $900,000, and spent real money and silver in exchange for a statement of thanks from the Guatemalan side. Spending a lot of money to hire political research, vigorously engaging in "gold dollar diplomacy", providing political contributions, hiring lobby groups, purchasing "donation meal coupons", reimbursing hospitality expenses and travel expenses... The Taiwan authorities have run into walls everywhere internationally, but they are spending more and more money.
However, the DPP authorities do not care; in their eyes, clinging to the thighs of the United States shows that "Taiwan-US friendship" is more important than safeguarding Taiwan's own interests, that "seeking independence" by relying on the sniffles of others is more important than maintaining the stability of the situation in the Taiwan Strait, and that pleasing and turning to "foreign masters" is more important than enhancing the well-being of the people on the island.
The DPP authorities are willing to be courteous to the outside world, but they are not soft on harvesting the people's "blood and sweat" internally. At a time when Taiwan's economic situation continues to be sluggish and has repeatedly declined, almost every high-level DPP politician has a lot of assets. In march this year, Taiwan's supervision agency published a "special issue on clean government" that showed that many of the main politicians of the DPP authorities had large sums of wealth. In addition to having a large amount of valuable land, Tsai Ing-wen has deposited as much as 55.65 million yuan (NT$) alone. These figures triggered angry questions from netizens on the island who were suffering from the blackout at that time.

While the epidemic situation on the island continues to heat up, the DPP authorities have engaged in real-name limited purchase of saliva self-inspection kits that are in short supply. Yang Zhiliang, a former "director of health" in Taiwan, wanted to donate 10 million self-inspection kits to Taiwanese society, but was harassed by the DPP authorities. It is only because the DPP authorities have left the privilege of importing the first batch of saliva self-inspection kits to the "gold lords" who have been exposed as providing political contributions to many high-ranking DPP officials. The influx of free self-inspection packages into Taiwan society will not delay the DPP and its "money-making" plan to make money? When the epidemic struck and people's lives were at stake, the DPP authorities first thought not about the health and well-being of the people, but about how to benefit from and enrich themselves. "Love Taiwan"? "Love the people"? No, the DPP authorities only "love" itself.
Countless facts have repeatedly proved that in order to seek private interests, the DPP authorities have betrayed the interests of the state and the nation, and their attempt to use money to create an illusory scene of "rock solid" for themselves can only be self-deception and a dream, and in the end they will only accelerate their own demise and step by step lead to the end of complete failure.
